Holy shit, someone actually made a manga about what would happen if that /r9k/-fag that keeps spamming threads about being "unworthy of love" got a Demon Girl Waifu.
He's every bit as obstinately self-obsessed and ungrateful as expected.

The chapters are really short, just 10 pages or so, and the scenes continue between them uninterrupted. Here we establish that Depression-kun is unhealthy by choice and habit, and Succubus-tan is too pure for this Earth.

I like it when when mangaka/translators add little pages that explain the symbolism of names and or the detail of certain obscure Japanese mystic practices. It's fun trivia to learn.
I'll leave it at just the first chapter, stay tuned yourself to find out how it goes:
Will Succubus-chan get the dick she wants?
Will Depression-kun learn to get the fuck over himself?
Find out next week!

Well shit, my threads became a manga. Who would've thought. Granted I don't have the Japan style of work til you drop dead thing, but more of "I'm never good enough. I'm a disappointment, a loser, other self-insults, etc." Add in some nihilistic threads from /tg/ and it's almost like looking at a reflection.

In this chapter Succubus-chan realizes that Japanese media has been subliminally encouraging NEET-hood and apathy in their male youth audience by glutting the airwaves with cynical, self protagonists and portraying them as admirable or at least the standard, a hypothesis that makes a scary amount of sense to me at least.
Also monster girls being embarrassed by platonic affection and seeing it as kinky is my favorite trope.

Well. I'm going to say that if the MC actually does get over his depression then that would undermine the entire meaning of the story. I think right now both he, somewhere really deep inside him, and she just enjoy the platonic and eventually more personal relationship they have; which is more in line with the tone and the themes of the story.

I meant that more in the general sense that it'd be a simplistic way to handle the ending. Realistically after a while though even a robot could probably warm up given the time so I see the reason behind your confusion. Besides, the worst possible ending is the stereotypical "everything goes back to status quo" ending for the series

I feel like trying to make assumptive analysis of this manga. Please read it before reading this post, I kind of spoil it even though it's mostly SoL.
Angel and Devil is possibly earliest visual tropes in comics/animation and has roots in oldest mythology of Western Civilization. These days it's a cliche that is parodied more often than played straight.
In this manga the Angel and Devil characters possibly represent two extremes. Angel tells him that "he can do it if he just tries" which is usually good thing to say but the protagonist appears to be overworked to the point where he's mostly a broken husk of a person. We aren't given exact details but (having checked the first pages) it seems like his boss is possibly exploiting his inability to say no to overtime. Devil/Succubus makes him quit the job and tells him he no longer needs to work. I may be over-analyzing this but possibly the MC and his depression are related/metaphore to inablity of finding balance between work/responsibilities (Angel) and fun/relaxation (Succubus)
