I was inheriting this big old manor/castle in the south somewhere, like a really old, really big plantation house. The place was still staffed and sometimes people would come in to see it,

I remember exploring this house, going up stairways and seeing views. The house was blocked in front by basically a shitty junkyard. Every wall and railing of the place was covered in this awful, tacky feeling paint, like the kind you see on old amusement park rides. There were maids, but they were old ladies who did nothing and basically lived there and got paid for it, there were massive spools of cobwebs everywhere in the rooms and halls.

During one of my exploring sessions i wanted to see how far the house went, so i just went room after room after room in one direction, each room having that disgusting, peeling gray paint, and the maids leering at me telling me i would dirty the place up by going where i was.

As i went through the rooms my friends and family from real life would show up walking behind me, congratulating me on the house and joining me in my walk. By the time i reached the end there were about 5 people.

The final door of what seemed to be hundreds lead to a plain, fenced in patch of grass with a view of a small town below the house. There was no paint on this outside wall, it was just stone and mortar. I dug a hole in the ground and planted some vegetable seeds.

make a diary for your dreams, write down anything you can recall. even if you had no dreams that night, just put down that you had no dreams.

my personal method is a dream remembering method I call "theme linking". you find a certain "theme" about that dream, like people, objects, events, or environments. once you clearly remember a dream, try to remember other dreams similar to the one you just remembered, the idea is that finding a common theme makes other dreams easier to remember.

I'm not certain it's Aztec. Many cultures have winged serpents or dragons. Egypt for example has Sokar, one of the gods of the dead and the personification of the underworld guarded by winged serpents. Another Egyptian deity named Meretseger was even said to sport a pair or two of wings. So it could also be Egyptian.

It's also possible that the ankh does not represent Ammit or Ammitism. If that were the case wouldn't the heart and feather be used rather than the ankh? I think it means something else.

The ankh means life, I'm not sure what the serpent could be, and the cross really depends on how you view Christianity.

The old gods are returning, slowly but surely. There have been more dreams than just that in recent years, more resurgences of power. The hidden world beneath the veil is slowly coming back to the surface. A Renaissance of mystical nature.

Really it makes a certain sort of sense, many stories have hinted that deities power waxes and wanes with the belief held of them. Perhaps with more people turning back to the old ways from Christianity in the modern era is slowly restoring those that have lain dormant for so many years.

I myself have had contact with a number of unusual sorts either via dreams, visions, or in physical essence. Many seem to be working in unison to bring one another back around.

Spirits can be perceived differently by other people, but I don't usually hear about them taking on the form of people you know unless they're trying to trick you. If you really do have the hots for your cousin and she took the form based on your feelings for her, then she's most likely a succubus. The reason she appears as a lamia is because you like lamias.
