You posted the same video and a clip of that video twice in the post 2016 section.
And you made the pre-2016 section much larger, and fucking included videos from after 2016 in it, like the first episode of crush500 and an episode of hydewars,
You also redditspaced.
>it's pretty simple and clear why people complain
It is, but you think it's for some different reason.
>We had amazing shit for free that was released constantly now we have to pay for shit that gets released like every 6 months.
I've already proven that sam has released more content at a way faster rate than before, even by just considering hydewars and honestly hydewars is pretty much fucking free, even though sam broke is promise about putting the new ones up on his channel for a few days, you pretty much can get off jewtube easily and I suspect this is the reason he doesn't even bother fulfilling said promise
That said, he is only releasing content at a faster rate, after the end of 2017 the frequency of videos on MDE's actual channel dropped dramatically. During 2017 Sam released around 25 vids according to MDE2, from the start of 2018 to now (halfway through the year) he has literally released no videos, if you discount crush500 which is now a part of Hydewars. (Again, this is only looking at the MDE2 channel, since, obviously, the main channel was taken down.)
Obviously MDE has been technically dead for almost a year if you consider hydewars a separate entity, which I don't. If you do consider hydewars part of MDE, this has literally been the most prolifiic era of MDE ever.
Of course, prolixity isn't always a good thing, and this is where the "MDE community" splits apart.
Saying "we had amazing shit for free and we pay for shit" isn't really a valid criticism, it's an opinion. I believe that the Hydewars vids are close enough in terms of raw quality to the pre-2016 vids that it would hold ground to say that in an objective sense, they aren't inherently worse or better. So, if you were to discern to two, I think that you would have to compare them in a subjective sense -
- This is what I think people are messing up when criticizing hydewars and "post-2016" or "post-WP" MDE. They are conflating objectivities with subjectivities, and sometimes they may try to disguise something subjective as objective because they thing it will add more legitimacy to their claims (which is an idea caused by the whole science/statistics fetishisation paradigm but that is another story), or sometimes they feel that something is worse and kinda grasp for straws or even pseudo-/non-truths to explain their feelings. It's like the first post of this thread, none of these things have really changed.
MDE was always done for passion, which is evident both by the whole nature of the troupe and also by sam's own word.
Sam's politics haven't changed.
Sam has always been ugly.
and even in your post:
We aren't getting less content, and the content has not objectively declined in quality.
What is objective, is the fact that the content has changed, and that is something you can criticize it on, but since "better" or "worse" are very vague, and since change itself isn't only good or bad, it is much better to simply criticize what has changed specifically. How has MDE's comedy changed? How have their videos changed?
Then, you can build an emotional, SUBJECTIVE argument from there or simply give your unrevised commentary on the changes.
But, whatever. You aren't obligated to follow these rules, and you're free to believe and say anything you want (and this isn't a smug "you can keep believing your backward ideas, peon ;)", i'm being sincere).
If you genuinely think that your ideas could represent a future, better MDE, then I'd say fucking pester the heck outta sammy and try convincing him to try your ideas.
After all, you are the audience. If you think there's a problem, not only can you chose to stop supporting the content, you can petition it and hopefully influence it.
