Do you have a pic of your waifu that's almost good, but some fuck gave her a tumblr nose? Do you want something colored in? Text removed? Small parts of the pic entirely redrawn? I can do all of this and more.
No restrictions on image content, but I'm a full-time college student, so pics will be done in whatever free time I have. Can also post more examples if anyone wants.
No.61313
Those are some good examples you've posted. Wold you mind adding some more?

I'm willing to call this a "first draft", or the final draft if you're happy with it.
I used colors from her anime reference art and ended up doing simple shading because the flat colors were very plain. I redrew a small part of the shirt because I could NOT make sense of the original folds, but otherwise left the lineart alone. Pretty much anything would be trivial to change if you want me to.

Tried to do something loose and painty to match the lineart.

No.61682
I've got something if you're willing to tackle it.
There's something going on in the top left of this image, around the Arcanine's tail.
I dunno what to tell ya so I took a screenshot of it.
I like this picture a lot but when I noticed that stuff it started nagging at me every time I looked at the image.

That style is weird to match. How does this look?

Another preview because it's taking me awhile to do what I want to do. The unrefined squiggles on her hair are where I was going to try some highlights.

It looks great!
My main concern, though, was with the colouring.
If you look anywhere else, like the fur on his head or his mane, the colouring is consistent. But on his tail in that one spot, it's very… splotchy.
Any chance you could get that fixed up, or is that just too much?
Thanks a lot, by the way!
No.61839
I have one, when you have the time to do it.
This one is something similar to the first you posted in the op. Not a screen photo, but it's still a photo of a drawing and I'd like to see the brightness/contrast adjusted better.
Plus if you could colour it - only Meiling, not the background - , that would be great.
Thanks in advance!

Ah right I forgot. Colour references. Maybe a little less saturated since it's a hand drawing, but you get the idea.

It already looks so much better than the original. Everything about it is just so much cleaner.
If you can get that other part cleaned up then I'd just be the happiest person in the world.
And believe me, it's definitely worth it for me. You're taking one of my favourite pictures and making it even better. Thank you!

I'm glad you like it. I'm not really feeling these highlights so far and will probably remove them and try again, but I wanted to show you that I DID work on your pic a little.

2000 years later, it's finally done. I learned a lot about what I can and can't do from this, so in the future I won't be taking as long to get this kind of result.
I can still change anything if you want, but I have a feeling you just want your pic at this point. :p There's also some process pics because they're kind of interesting.

Found a suitable texture to work from so I can try to elaborate on the shading in the original pic. I don't know how good the result will look, but I feel like I should still give it a shot, even if I don't end up using it.

Your instinct was right, I did a mockup of continuing the shading on the original and it looked pretty bad. Feels badman that I spent so much time on that. I erased the original shading for now and am cleaning up lines again, since those will be in the final pic no matter what I do.
Also doing a pic for Yangbro from when 8chan was down. I had many false starts to re-lining the thing but I think I'm finally on the right track.

Been a little while since I posted because I've had other things to do and visible progress has been minimal. Yang is incredibly humbling re: reminding me that being able to edit a pic ≠ being an arist, but I'm slowly managing to put down lines that I can work with. For Mei, if you look at the original pic you can see that the lines in her hair are thinner and wobblier than the rest of her body, so one of the last things left to do for her lines is make them look nice. I'll probably reposition/redraw that sprig of hair, too.
No.63061
Nearing the end of the linework on Mei. Pretty much all that's left is the stuff I put off because I knew it was going to be hard, like redoing her hands.
It's finally sketch time for Yang! I flipped the canvas for now to hopefully keep this from being one of those pics that only looks good in one orientation. I recommend flipping the canvas every once in awhile to anyone trying to draw anything digitally.

I couldn't find any high res pics of Yang's pendant. Does it look right to you?

I don't understand how somebody messes up a hat so badly when the rest is drawn so well. And there are random grey dots all over the picture too? Dunno if you can fix that but I'd be eternally grateful if you could.
No.63328
Quick questions for both of you:
>>63067
Do you want me to redraw the "cowlick" or omit it? I thought leaving it out would would make the pic look "off-balance", but it doesn't, so it's down to your personal preference.
>>63069
I'm not gonna be able to make "organic"-looking lines with a mouse, so I made a fake sketch to work from when I whip out my drawing tablet. Do you like the big hair from the original pic or do you want me to give her a more reasonable ponytail? Also, do you like her expression as it is or do you want me to give her a smile?
>>63171
I think the hat was made with either a fuzzy brush or cut out and distorted from a photograph. My instinct about the grey dots is that they're supposed to be snow, but there's no snow anywhere else in the pic, so who knows. It's something I can do either way. I'll start on your pic after I'm finished with Mei, since she'll almost definitely be done first. Who is this girl?
No.63334
>>63328
Her hair like this when her hair is like a ponytail, and sure add a smile to this.
No.63340

She's Karen Kujou from Kiniro Mosaic. She's my waifu, but as I'm fairly new here and don't post often, you likely haven't seen the few posts I have made. Thank you in advance for this though.
No.63346
>>63328
I'd keep it. But make it smaller, it looks better.
No.63447
I'll probably fiddle with them some more during coloring and I still want to add a couple of lines to the blank spots in her hair, but for the most part, Mei's lines are DONE. Feels good man. Colors are next.
>>63334
My train of thought with Yang was
>"let's give her a smile"
>pic suddenly looks plain
>try giving her a bigger smile
>can't make it work on her face
>"m-maybe a v sign?"
>try many times
>can't make it work, but in the process, notice the pic looks better with something on the other side of her ponytail
And then several attempts later, she's either pulling her sunglasses up to flash someone a smile or pulling them down to get ready for action. It's a significant deviation from the original pic, though, so it feels right to run it by you first.
No.63449
>>63447
She looks really good! Can't wait to see the colors.
No.63451

For once, I'm alright with the deviation.
For feedback, her sleeves could've been shorter, down to the elbows. Flashing a smile is good too.

I want to get a custom daki made from this image but unfortunately there is a small part of it obscured by another character's hands which I'd like to crop out with the rest of the background.
Would anybody be able to remove the two hands and then redraw the areas they're covering? I'd like it done as seamlessly as possible so it looks like it was not edited at all even close up but I am not at all good with this kind of thing myself.
The next steps would be to fully render the image and find/commission somebody to draw a comfy bed background and some duvet to cover the missing legs, but for now just the hands would be great.
Thank you in advance to anybody who might want to give this a go!

Not sure if the anon running the thread is still here so I thought I'd give it a go. Here's what I have so far.
- I still have to thin down the outline on the redrawn section on the right to match the rest of the line.
- The line's colors are tinted by the background. I've had to desaturate parts of them.
- I think the areas I've removed the background in are a little choppy. I'll probably have to smooth the lines.

Just checked this on a hi-res screen and the right-hand side edit has some rather blatant mistakes.
Guess that's what I get for living like a technological caveman.
No.64812
I found this picture today which is really beautiful.
One problem is that her left leg (so the one at the right on the pic) is weirdly shaped. I think her calf is way too big, or maybe the curve is simply too prominent. It just looks odd to me. That is the main thing I would like to be changed and if this alone could be done I would be really happy.
Still, there is another aspect that displeases me (and I know I’m being picky). Her left foot (so the one on the right) seems weird. It looks just too flat bellow, and also, considering the length of her foot, the toes should be seen, which is not the case so it makes her foot look way too long. Once again, what matters the most is changing her leg, but if someone could also change her foot, the feet lover that I am would be really pleased.
Thanks in advance!
No.66146
Can anybody fix her left leg/thigh? It seems too small compared to her other leg and to the rest of her body. Either that or maybe she's in a pose that isn't really natural. Either way. it's a really annoying distraction in an otherwise beautiful picture.

True, OP doesn't seem to be around anymore I've noticed. Thankfully I'm not actually concerned about it anymore, Ryukobro was talking with me about the pic on Discord, and he pointed out that there wasn't as much wrong with it as I thought, her skirt was covering up some of her leg and making it seem smaller than it actually is.
