https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/seven-charts-show-intensifying-demand-healthcare-services-susan-salka/

>Boomers continue to die off/retire/need healthcare

>Hospitals refuse to hire new workers unless they have 10 years experience for a part-time position

>The gap between workers and job postings continues to grow despite the increase in healthcare workers, all the regulations, etc.

How is healthcare not a perfect example of how there's plenty of jobs to go around and regulation is in the way?

>How is healthcare not a perfect example of how there's plenty of jobs to go around and regulation is in the way?

From a propaganda perspective, surgeons who never went to med school with no regulation suggesting they wash their hands makes it an… imperfect example.

Also, where the fuck are 'lefties' even in this? Are health-worker-run hospitals oppressing you?

A cuban doctor spit in his coffee once for being such a ass.

Some say he is still whining today.

2. They supported AMA monopoly

I was drunk and this was worded poorly, however the base argument still stands. There are plenty of jobs to go around in the Healthcare industry which disproves the lefty theory of "muh jobs, muh not everyone needs ta' work!" while the fact that the shortage was created by lefty shit like the AMA is proof that Capitalism could have solved the issue if regulations weren't in the way.

>From a propaganda perspective, surgeons who never went to med school with no regulation suggesting they wash their hands makes it an… imperfect example.

From a propaganda perspective, but from a real-world perspective, about 80% of hospital visits are for minor shit like a flu bug. A nurse could theoretically diagnose something like that and prescribe some cold meds that a pharmacy technician could whip up in ten minutes, but the AMA demands that a license physician trained in XYZ waste his time on minor shit like a flu bug and a full-fledged pharmacist do the simple "mix X in this quantity with Y in this quantity" work for generally harmless medication (unless you're dealing with specific drugs or add a shit ton to the batch, anyone could do this shit. I make specific epoxies right now on a daily basis with hazardous chemicals mixing 1 part X with 50 parts Y on a scale). Shit, most places have an incentive to get rid of people who do kill their patients from malpractice whereas right now, the AMA encourages hospitals to keep on bad doctors because it's too expensive/hard to find new ones.

>lefty shit like the AMA

Well, at least you've pointed to something.

Now, show me which pre-Marxist recognized figure on the left actually advocated for founding the AMA. I want to see the text "There should be an American Medical Association with the following powers" in one of the published works of Proudhon, Kropotkin, Bakunin, or similar. Project Gutenberg is that way.

Basically, I'm flat-out telling you that you're just plain on one.

>Decries "not everyone needs to work"

>Decries a makework scheme.

Pick one. Again, you're on one, and I'm guessing the drink was just to smooth out the coke, unless you're bipolar.

The actual leftist solution is… DIY and education.

…although a nurses coop would probably fit in. For informational purpoues, accreddited pharmacists are all about catching interactions in cytochrome p450, though a computer could probably do this more easily.

So, tell me again how DIY, biohacking, and self-reliance, created yet-another-racketeering-scheme in capitalism, again?

 No.83850

Professional groups like the AMA do enjoy abusing the self-regulating profession's power of licensing to restrict trade.

Fug, I'm a veterinarian and we still shit like this in our profession. The California state board exists to restrict competition and suppress the labor supply first and foremost. Public and private sector sources alike can't fill veterinary positions and the professions' organizations whine about new schools being opened and class sizes increasing because it will drive down their bargaining power.

The hospital would hire trained surgeons and require sterile working areas because they're in deep shit if the people they're supposed to be caring for die.
