Seems to me that libertarianism operates off of the flawed premise that consumers will be eternally well-informed. Sure, I might nominally have access to the information needed to make optimal financial decisions, but how can I realistically do that? What kind of autist has the time to do in-depth research from reliable sources on every product and service they purchase?

 No.83442

It's called experience. People dont make the best descisions on their first go round, but they learn as they progress. Maybe turn on your brain before spewing out such low effort bait.

>What kind of autist has the time to do in-depth research from reliable sources on every product and service they purchase?

a) This is kinda like saying "If there will be no state television, who will tell me when I can or can't go outside? I'm not a meteorologist, I can't predict the weather."

>how can I realistically do that?

b) I don't know, don't you already do that? Or does your mom still buy shit for you?

>what if my product contains soy? how could I possibly know if soy causes my balls to shrink?

c) There will be private organizations, companies and websites that do this research for you, if there aren't then you have just found a great business opportunity.

>but- but- but- muh consumers-

d) Which consumers? If you're totally a stupid nigger or a low IQ white that doesn't know how to read labels and you go looking for Kool-Aid in the cleaning supplies section, you will be doing us all a favour by literally BLEACHING yourself from the gene pool. Also, I couldn't care any less if bugmen squander their hard-earned salaries on soylent and other useless shit, low IQ whites deserve to waste money.

Pics related found them on /leftypol/.

Answer me honestly, are you a millenial? Do you want someone to constantly wipe your ass and pamper you? I'm asking because there's no way you could be an adult if you don't realize that it's common sense EVERYWHERE to trust your own intuition and do a bit of research on what you're buying instead of blindly trusting every Jew out there that tries to sell you something. ESPECIALLY when it's something expensive like a house or a car.

If I'm going to buy a house, I won't even myself, I will also hire a team of architects to inspect it and see if it's structurally stable and if it's not got any mold or anything else I wouldn't want in it.

It honestly surprises me that you don't already do this, again, this is just fucking common sense and you'd be an idiot not to do this.

There is a company in my city that has defrauded hundreds of customers who paid for goods that were never delivered. Nothing happens because the authorities in this shithole country are corrupt and never do anything when someone reports the problem. Why hasn't the free market magically solved this problem?

>>83448

> I will also hire a team of architects to inspect it and see if it's structurally stable

Most people can't even afford to buy a home let alone hire a team of architects you fucking autist.

>the statist justice system has been corrupted and bought out

>Alternatives to the corrupt system aren't allowed to flourish because the state has a compulsory monopoly on the legal system

>surely this is the fault of the free market

Also,

>get screwed on a deal

>report it to police and wait around on your ass

>don't ask the credit card company to cancel the order

>don't take the company to small claims court

Even if none of these options were available for some reason, riddle me this: When someone gets screwed by this company, how often do they come back? How many tell all their friends and family to never do business with this company, because they will get screwed? And it would only take a few people writing bad reviews on Yelp or a similar service to get the word out that this company is fraudulent and untrustworthy. You see how this practice isn't sustainable? Companies have gone out of business, or lost billions in revenue, as a result of social scandals, and most of them were over shit much more innocent than fraud.

>Most people can't even afford to buy a home let alone hire a team of architects you fucking autist.

Convenient of you to leave out this part:

>it's common sense EVERYWHERE to trust your own intuition and do a bit of research on what you're buying instead of blindly trusting every Jew out there that tries to sell you something. ESPECIALLY when it's something expensive like a house or a car.

It doesn't take a lot of know-how to check a basement for mold, mildew, or signs of flooding. And if you don't have that know-how, do some fucking research. With the advent of the Internet especially, you have no excuse for not having at least a cursory understanding of a subject about which you want to know more.

They won't be. The ones that are too inadequately equipped to deal with the world will fail and lose all their money. Market dynamics require losers to fail.

>the state doesn't intervene

>it's the state's fault for not letting the market clear things up

lolwat

>don't ask the credit card company to cancel the order

the case that i'm familiar with went like this: customer bought furniture, she was charged for the purchase and told delivery would arrive in 2-3 weeks. after 24 hours the payment is processed and you can no longer contest the charges. 3 weeks went by, furniture never arrived, the customer began investigating and saw all the bad reviews online and realized she had been defrauded. she then went to report the matter to consumer protection agency but they tried to convince her to just accept a delivery of replacement furniture. (which was probably also part of the scam, since the replacement furniture was going to be of shit quality.)

basically, by the time the customer realizes they've been defrauded it's already too late to do anything, and because the company has a fancy store in a nice location everyone assumes they're legit, just like you. because how could any business run as a scam possibly survive in the free market, right…?

>don't take the company to small claims court

the courts are nearly worthless in this country. people here believe the police are corrupt and not to be trusted, but they trust the courts even less. people are actually afraid to report crimes because they assume the authorities are colluding with the criminals and will pass the names of complainants to the same criminals robbing them.

You have this really common misconception that commies have about capitalism that for some reason everything in capitalism is more expensive (in contrast to socialism where everything is supposedly cheaper for some magical reason). This shows that you really need to learn how supply and demand works, as well as how competition lowers prices in the economy, making shit much cheaper to buy, otherwise you're just an idiot asking "why can't the government just make everything free?".

>the courts are nearly worthless in this country. people here believe the police are corrupt and not to be trusted, but they trust the courts even less. people are actually afraid to report crimes because they assume the authorities are colluding with the criminals and will pass the names of complainants to the same criminals robbing them.

So how is that the fault of capitalism? This sounds like Russia tbh. Listen, the fact is, you wouldn't trust one company to have a monopoly on everything because if it did then it could do whatever the fuck it wants to, so then why trust one government organization (the police) to have a monopoly on the defense of society? If the government is corrupt, then of course the cops are going to be just as corrupt too. Unless of course the cops aren't working for the government in the first place (aka privatized police). Same applies to courts too.

Also, I realize some countries don't have a corrupt police and justice system, but those countries tend to have a very decentralized government, ie. everything isn't controlled by a strong government with one totalitarian asshole in charge. ie. those countries are at least a little bit libertarian.
