You're looking at the wrong market. Items like condensed soup are sold with shelf-life and budget in mind, more than the quality of the taste.

What I don't like about the market is the non existence (in my state) of unripe tomatoes. Ripen tomatoes, whether in stores or farmers markets, taste nasty and the only good ones I ever had were homegrown.

Day 2 of being sick. Gargled some водка this morning to clear out the sore throat and drank some kombucha to help out. Haven't felt like eating all day. I'm cooking a small spinach & artichoke freezer pizza to eat through the course of two meals and steaming some brussel sprouts because too lazy to cook while sick. Thank god for capitalism.

Scientists recently figured out how to give soldiers a pizza MRE that apparently tastes similar to a reheated Totino's party pizza when left out in the sunlight for an hour. Surely the market is interested in producing better quality preserved foods! Just not soup, for some reason.

I know that feel. I end up growing a small batch of tomatoes every summer to have fresh ones because store-bought is such shit. What I don't understand is that I25 runs straight to the border and it's a two day trip from Mexico to here by truck routes, so you'd think that we'd be able to get some decent fucking avocados, but I guess that's asking too much.

"Capitalist food" ensures I can get relatively fresh produce year-round instead of for just two months out of the year before it has to be canned/frozen. Don't compare apples and oranges.

Nah, I've tried to learn the language a little after I decided I was done with Spanish after two years of it and German after a year of it. I don't believe some foreign words translate very well either in accent or in meaning, so I dislike using them, such as водка being pronounced вадка in America, hence my usage. I do the same thing with German words and Spanish words from time to time.
