What will this actually lead to /k/?

>Justices to review New York gun rights case

>In 2008, the Supreme Court ruled that the Second Amendment protects an individual’s right to have a handgun at home for self-defense. Two years later, the justices made clear that this right also applies against state and local governments. Since then the Supreme Court has repeatedly declined to say anything more about how far states and cities can go in restricting gun rights, but today it granted a plea to weigh in, this time in a case from New York City.

>The request for review came from the New York State Pistol and Rifle Association and a group of gun owners who live in the city. They were challenging the city’s ban on transferring even licensed, unloaded guns anywhere outside the city limits – including to a weekend home or shooting range for target practice – restrictions they describe as “draconian.” After the lower courts rejected their challenge and upheld the restrictions, the NYSPRA and gun owners went to the Supreme Court.

>Today the justices granted review in the case, New York State Rifle & Pistol Association v. New York. The Supreme Court’s calendar for April was already full before last week’s conference, so the new grant likely won’t be argued until the fall. The justices’ eventual ruling in the case could stick to the relatively narrow question of whether the city’s law is constitutional, or it might shed light on a broader and more consequential question: whether the right to have a gun extends outside the home. Either way, the court’s opinion in the case probably won’t come until the spring of 2020.

I think these two lines bear repeating for just how insane they are.

I would say it would be a stretch to get something like National Concealed Carry but it would strike down some laws that are hat ass backwards retarded. I could see this case even got 6-3 pro gun because the lower courts saying "lol get another gun" is beyond retarded.

I'd prefer Arizona but whatever.

As a Texan, I have to say, our gun laws are great but they're not the best. We still don't have constitutional carry so in my opinion we should strive to have gun laws look like Arizona's instead.

Libtards think Texas is a gun paradise due to years of media brainwashing despite the fact that Arizona is superior in everyway

>Make every state's gun laws look like Texas'

When I first read it my interpretation was "gun laws will get so much worse that what states have now will in retrospect seem as lenient as Texas'".

Then I saw it was from a left-wing article, and they would never insinuate that current gun laws are any more restrictive than Texas', so I knew it had to be an increase in gun freedoms they were talking about.

Lol did you guys not know that SCOTUS allows the lower courts to run wild? How did you think that fake """refugees""" from the northern triangle and Mexico get into America? Lower courts are the ones granting them them standing to sue the states and federal government for not granting them asylum.

This is also how the travel ban got blocked.

>Vermont

They recently banned "high capacity" magazines remember? It still pisses me off that Arizona has better gun laws than Texas, and those faggots elected a dyke to the Senate.

NH is the promised land. Over 90% huwhite, constitutional carry, comfy winters.

The supreme court could rule Jew York is a commie shit hole that needs to repeal every law on the books and it would do nothing because economic hubs are allowed to freely violate the constitution & ignore the Supreme court.

Will SCOTUS actually grant a writ of certiorari to Kettler? Kettler vs US is a much more interesting case with far heavier implications that NYSPRA vs NY
