Fancy equipment is all well and good but it doesn't mean anything if you can't use it. That's what this thread is for, achieving everything from baseline competence to mastery of various skills and pieces of equipment.

Post training drills, how to start out, what to aim for, and when to move on to or add something more advanced.

Ask for advice or critique on certain skills.

Post advice on finding teachers who know what their doing and can help you improve, while avoiding those trying to sell bullshit.

If you can do so without doxing yourself, post actual in-person teachers or trainers you recommenced.

Post advice, rules, and guidelines for training others.

While the ideal is in person training with someone more skilled, it may not be feasible for everyone. If you have advice on training alone or with other inexperienced friends, give it.

I know for sure AT4 have diagrams and written instructions on it that make you an expert in about 100 seconds flat. The only reason CIAniggers have to send instructors to sandniggers is because they dont have a basic understanding of math, literacy, or how circle shapes only fit in circular holes.

Youre educated. I expect you to be able to "make" a weapon out of clay, rocks, straw and urine.

>Post training drills

I buy one box of ammunition with the heaviest bullet weight in the caliber I feel like using.

I take a long drive out into the wilderness and park on some land I happen to have permission to be on.

I stand some trash up about 10 feet away and shoot it a couple times, without ear or eye protection, with a horrific flinch that I developed by shooting guns too big for me as a kid.

Then I pack up and wait an entire year before doing it all over again.

I realize this is a joke, but I'm going to give a serious reply. Dry firing can help reduce flinching. Spend 90 days dry firing 10 minutes every day. Don't ever go shooting during that time, though this doesn't sound like it will be a problem for you. Dry firing exercises can be done in your house at no cost. Just double check everything is unloaded and clear.

After the dry firing exercises go shooting with live ammo and see if you've improved. If you still experience problems you can go shooting with a random mix of simulation rounds and live rounds.

Take care of your eye's and ears man. You only get one pair of each in this life. Safety glasses are cheap and earplugs cost almost nothing.

For handguns specifically, the Lucky Gunner "Start Shooting Better" playlist summarizes a number of drills.

At a minimum anyone carrying a handgun should be able to pass the 5x5 drill. Better, pass the FBI handgun qualification.
