Yeah, there're enough innawoods threads on here, yet; we can have a good thread glorifying the various boot.models and brands.

Anything from law enforcement to cow herding and hiking to hunting encouraged.

How to appreciate it if someone would post pictures of their worn boots as well as a short review. Anything longer than a paragraph is TL;DR

I can speak from experience that Carhartt and Danner have some very robust boot models and here is a couple boots that I'm looking at getting for a long trip through the Rocky Mountains.

First one is danner pronghorn, a classic.

Second is a Tom Brown loke treadless slipper (the hunted-tommy lee jones)for stalking wildlife.

Third is the Carhartt 4-inch Moc boot that I'm wearing now and it is not very good but with a little Shoe Goo it should go a long way.

I've got these danners. I love them but have beaten the shit out of them over the years.

Is there a way to fix this much damage or should I just get a new pair if I want to care about looks.

Don't bump this, nigger, there's already a boot thread one page down. Go back to Reddit.

I think that much damage is irreversable. Apparently youre supposed to oil and maintain leather which I dont do.

You could sew a layer of thin goretex over it, thatd be cool.

Im looking into danner, ive heard a lot of good things but im looking for something insulated and water prroof for sustained duration out in the snow.

Redwing boots are good imo but I wouldnt recomend hiking in steel toe boots, hurts too much.

the red wing made in usa line are very good. wolverine/chippewa are also decent but owned by warren buffett.

Red Wings come in both flavor of steel toe and not.

I said I would not recommend IN STEEL TOE.

That applies there are two versions of the boots, steel toe and not. I will soon be purchasing the same boots but in non steel toe because well, they hurt.

There isnt much you can do for cuts from cuts and leather clips. I heard using glue but there needs to be a special kind of glue honestly from what I read. Though its mostly toe repair and so far I only hear good things from Tuff toe so you should check it out.
