Well, they've been laws similar to Montana's regarding NFA items–as long as they're stamped "made in Alaska" and aren't sold, they don't fall under the purview of interstate commerce, so the Feds can't abuse that particular line of the Constitution one more time in their mad dash to measure the OAL of every gun manufactured. Cost of living in general is higher, because everything that can't be made from lumber or fish meat needs to be shipped in. Very mountainous terrain rather than ranch territory. Not too many lefties as it's too cold for niggers and too rural for the rest, but the coastal towns do have to deal with tourists on cruise ships barging in to gawk the shit they see every day Guess what I'm doing now. You've also got people and developed infrastructure, however. Alaska isn't that populated and most of the existing economy is centered around things besides metal refinement. It doesn't make very much sense for a company to build a factory that will always be more expensive to supply, near-impossible to supply in the winter, will never run above a tiny fraction of full capacity (you're supppyijj a very small group, if you produce any faster it would just have to be shipped back), and is thousands of miles out of the way of the rest of your supply chain.

Could it be done and still turn a profit? Possibly, but you're incurring a bunch of new costs and a lot of hassle for no real benefit. Oh yeah, and you're asking about firearms specifically: as guns are a durable good and aren't replaced all that often, you're going to reach market saturation after only a few production runs, and your output would drop even more.

Here's the "fuck you ATF" law if anyone's interested. So as I read it, any firearm constructed in the state from "basic materials" is protected from federal regulation as long as you slap "made in Alaska" on it. So to manufacture and AR and still be a good goy in the eyes of the law, you'd have to buy a bar of aluminum (which does not have to originate in AK) and machine it yourself. A strict reading of the law suggests that 80% lowers are technically OK to import, because they don't meet the definition for either "firearm" or "firearm accessory" as defined by the law, but I'm not an attorney, and it's a gray area, so if you want to stay legal (which of course you do, because we're all law abiding citizens) test the waters at your own risk.

46153f  No.601046

>>601043

And yeah, yeah, even with state protection chances are this law is purely symbolic since alphabet soup thinks laws are for other people, and trying to challenge them on that subject in the courts is a big fucking risk that's unlikely to pay off. But it's the thought that counts.

>railways for resident trainautist

What I always wondered about long distance trains in very cold areas: how do they keep the tracks from being blocked by snow? I get that you can cut all trees within 100 meters of the tracks, and due to the slow growth of evergreens not have to worry about trees blocking the tracks for the next 100 years, but a shitton of ice can at least cause issues for the train.

I am well aware that there are snow plows on the front of trains, but I doubt that they would be able to ram through a meter of ice and another of heavy snow without causing at least some issues for the train.

so you like strong european lagers? M8 it's not that hard to roast some grain while you mash the rest, especially if you have a buddy/slampiece/wife to help.

If it's not that, what sort of 'beer' do you like? IPAs take double the hops and a slightly longer boil, belgian takes stronger yeast and good temp control but that is all I can think of with the exception of lambic ales, which as far as homebrew is concerned, is fermented just the same as everything else.

All grain or nothing. Moreover, with an oven base malt like 2 row can be turned into any sort of malt from caramel to chocolate. In cali you could get a 50lb sack of grain for $30-40, each gallon of beer usually consuming 1-2 pounds depending on strength.

I don't think in most cases it really matters, train can easily move half a meter of snow before it, but in places where there's A LOT of snow, i think they make a bank before they lay the railroad itself, so that the snow goes to the sides, something like picrelated. It also helps against the floods in spring. At least this is what we do in here.

They run dedicated snow clearing trains under the Maintenance Of Way department. The pilots on road locomotives are basically just there to keep shit from getting under the wheels rather than doing any actual work. For the really heavy shit, they use rotary snowplows, or else bring in construction equipment. Also, mainline switches are heated to keep them from icing over.

IDK about Alaska but Canada is too cold and dry for too much snow.

Snow needs lots of humidity (warm water source) and around zero celsius. Continental climate is very dry, and has temperatures so low that ice deposits but no snow falls.

Maybe Alaska is similar.

46153f  No.601099

>>601092

As I understand it, the reason the whole gun must be manufactured in AK, and not just the registered part, is to get around the commerce clause of the Constitution, which gives the Feds jurisdiction over anything involving interstate commerce (protip: everything is interstate commerce if you try hard enough). So even if the lightning link or RDIAS is made in AK, because you're importing parts from other states to complete the firearm it's technically "interstate commerce" and the Feds will fuck you anyways.

HOWEVER: thanks to the ATF's own jewing with constructive intent, they've given us a way around that if you have a good lawyer: because the lightning link, or RDIAS, or third hole lower, or shoestring are all legally considered firearms by the ATF and the Feds, you can make the argument that the whole firearm was manufactured in AK, because federal law doesn't recognize any other part of the gun as a firearm. However, you're going to need a good lawyer, and your case (should you be challenged, that is—that same law prevents state assets from being used to enforce federal regs so the local cops can't do shit, ATF would have to find you themselves) would probably go all the way to the Supreme Court even though the Fed's own laws are on their side, because the Feds have frequently failed to follow their own rules, because rules are just something for the dumb sheep to follow. Remember that until recently we weren't allowed to shoulder pistol braces, that 7n6 is labeled as "armor piercing" even though it clearly isn't, and the various harassment they have perform on the local shops. My FLGS, for instance, was told that they couldn't sell homebuilt ARs that they put together unless the caliber and length were laser engraved into it, and I I was reading an account a few weeks ago about a shop that got all its AR pistols confiscated for OAL violation, because the ATF decided to measure them with the brace folded, instead of unfolded like they normally do.

These look very interesting. You could probably combine the large pilot (I had to google that word, thanks) with a rotary plow just behind it to run across most sections of the track and clear it of almost anything quite quickly. You could combine this with the regular rail-patrols to keep the trains safe from enemy ambushes and the environment at the same time.

The difference is that in the later "negatively" is more in the focus, therefore it implies that if it doesn't affect it in a negative way, then it must affect it in a different way. Which logically must be a positive way. In this context it would mean that we actually benefit from a lack of natural resources, which is clearly not what I wanted to say. Most Canadian tribes were originally American but moved into Canada during early colonization due to hostility from England/America since the French were slightly more friendly. Although due to Canada's relitive lack of settlement as you go further west the Indian tribes are slightly less fucked than American ones but only slightly.

As for outside of work there are alot of outdoor activities to do especially in the summer but in the winter the list of things to do becomes much shorter. I usually go shooting most weekends or hangout with my buddies. The Army has physical fitness standards that you still have to meet even in winter. Like the other anon said we do PT in doors when it gets really cold. They destroy the ghettos which not only forces the monkeys to move into good neighborhoods through housing projects bringing their niggardly ways with them until the original residents get killed or starts a white flight (in which they will be fleeing over and over again until this country becomes Brasil) but they push people out of their homes (some of these ghettos also have a rich history before niggerfied) contradicting about how they care so much about the poor blacks. Real estate is dirt cheap, buy as much as you can, even if you don't need it right away you can make sure that when you sell it it goes to one of your housekeepers for a good price. Lease out some of the land to aspiring local businessesmen, and use the proceeds from that to pay for upkeep, and buy more land for streloks. It can be on the higher side as milk and quite a few other groceries need to be shipped in. But if you're smart about the way you shop it's not too much of an issue, and the very low taxes means the overall cost of living is actually pretty low. Not an AK resident mind you, just casual research I've done as a possible one in the future. I suggest you look at a little more more thoroughly yourself.

>>601552

The thing about flamethrowers is that they're very overpriced, because they're made out of scuba tanks that have been cut open and welded shut again. And doing that means you need to get the tank recertified for pressure, which is a time consuming and expensive process. As a result the price of flamethrowers is much higher than the material and labor costs of them. If you know what you're doing probably not you're better off building one yourself. Also, remember that the snow doesn't disappear even if you melt it, so make sure a) the runoff will go where you want it to and not in a place where it interferes with shit and b) it actually stays liquid long enough to flow (you'd be surprised how fast shit freezes when it's cold). Turning your snowy driveway into an icy one isn't really much better, if anything it's worse. And like the other guy said, don't burn your house down.

f40ed6  No.601640

>>601637

Economy of scale might lower the prices, but it does not mean that starting a ranch is impossible. There might be better things to invest into, but i highly doubt that it would not pay off in time. they have industrial equipment, but have to ship all the products, while you have less products produced for given time/work, but do not have to do the shipping, so unless you put more resources in than you can get profit out of final product, which is unlikely as the technology does not give as big advantage in here as it does with other industries, you would be fine.

Unless the products cost almost as much as the materials for them, you can make profit of them. This profit might be impossibly small, but it can be done. If you make guns, unless you spend more on metal than you can get from selling a gun, it's profitable, technically.

Ranch requires little resources, few tools and the main investment is land, so it can be profitable anywhere people live, theoretically.

To know that information you would have to conduct surveys of the population and ask who owns guns, as there isn't supposed to be any registry of gun owners. And gun owners aren't exactly the type to open up to a stranger trying to document where they live and how many guns they own.

Those are peak rain months, and precipitation is counted by literally putting a beaker out and counting how much rain falls into it. This applies for snow as well, obviously, since snow is made of water.

I don't know how many maps it will take for you to understand the general gist - quebec gets snow, parts of ontario get snow. The amount of snow they get is more than the rest of canada, but less than most of America.

>precipitation

If we're just moving goal posts then of course you're always right. Because we were talking about snow, not all precipitation. Let me tell you what you said again so you can ignore it and change the subject again.

>>601095

>IDK about Alaska but Canada is too cold and dry for too much snow.

>Snow needs lots of humidity (warm water source) and around zero celsius. Continental climate is very dry, and has temperatures so low that ice deposits but no snow falls.

Now you backtrack and claim that precipitation is the topic when it's a specific form of precipitation, namely fucking snow. Even though here you counter your original claim

>>602848

>Parts of Canada get snow that's man-deep, other parts get like an inch all winter

So let me map this out for you to put some of those 40 IQ points to use. You first said Canada (as a whole) is "too cold and dry for much snow" (direct quote). I disagreed with that statement. Next you said "Parts of Canada get snow that's man-deep, other parts get like an inch all winter" which contradicts your first statement. I do not and never disagreed with this second statement. You then posted a map showing that in the bulk of the summer (July to September) over 30 years the largest amount of snow in an area was ~ 10 inches. Which proves your Initial statement wrong. Next you proceed to bring up precipitation out of your ass, and explain how it is measured as if I don't have a fucking rain gauge. You then say "quebec gets snow, parts of ontario get snow. The amount of snow they get is more than the rest of canada, but less than most of America." Which again contradicts your first statement, and is a stupid claim because there are literal deserts in America (assuming you mean the country not the geographical area) and is as stupid as saying all of Canada doesn't get much snow. You then seem to think that I conflate precipitation and snow by imaging that I said it doesn't rain in the summer, when I actually implied that your graph showing that in the hottest months of the year, almost all areas of Canada get more than 10cm (100 mm) implies that in the colder months there would be more snow.

Then as if you couldn't hold your position enough you post three maps that don't provide any measurements of snow but instead say "cold, dry/mild dry" with no numbers. While the last two images are too small to read because as their filenames show you didn't expand them before saving.

So to summarize because I'm sure I lost you at the start of the post you made a claim, then made a contradictory claim, posted evidence to refute your initial claim, and then switched topics, posting three useless images and two that seem to be useful but are too low res to read.

When moisture (water) rises into the air it either falls down as snow (if its cold) or rain (if its not cold). How much moisture rises up is a general constant, it has to do with bodies of water vs land, and how much water falls down is a constant as well regardless of form. It just happens to be more in America.

Holy fuck, are you actually retarded or is your memory too short to make it through a post? I think both are true, therefore I'll keep it short.

You said Canada as a whole does not get very much snow. I disagreed with that statement. Stop changing the subject, we are NOT talking about all precipitation. Snow does mean precipitation. Precipitation does not mean snow. Because a more southern country gets more precipitation does not mean they get more snow. Which again is besides the point because of your very own fucking claim here >>601095

Stop moving goal posts, stop conflating snow and general precipitation and stop comparing Canada and the US, because that is all 100% irrelevant to your claim.

Here is what you tried to post. Which shows that most of Canada gets 30-49 cm of snow as the maximum depth. So unless you consider a foot of snow to be in line with your claim that "deposits but no snow falls". You are wrong. Unless you stop changing the subject and moving goal posts, or admit that your first statement was fucking retarded and wrong, I'm done trying to teach a nigger.

there are already highland cattle present in alaska though, so aslong as you can gather the relevant experience, and funds. you should be able to purchase a small ranch. in all honesty i have neither the money nor the skills to get into america, so short of commiting loan fraud to get the funds to buy a business large enough for a visa i dont have any options. the real kicker is even if i wanted to go through the full suffering rout and sign a twelve year contract with the army to get a greencard/Cship i couldn't because i'd need to be a US resident.

I've considered oil or mining jobs in Alaska, but everything I'm finding suggests they're like frozen Texas in that they won't hire low men on the totem pole from out-of-state unless they're really desperate. Should I apply to those sort of jobs anyways since they secretly are that desperate, or should I just give up and look elsewhere? I've got formal training in fixing electronics, HVAC systems, and troubleshooting networks, and I've got about two years experience in manufacturing under my belt, but manufacturing pays shit and it'll eventually go to China or some other outsourcing country if US 1960s electronics import/export laws ever get updated. The only way I can see myself really getting into the technician repair aspect of my trade is if I force my way in from the side via more mechanical means like mining work, shipbuilding, train work, etc. and sell myself as a jack-of-all-trades. I'm teaching myself basic plumbing right now even though I know that's a skill that you can't legally work on in most of the US if you're not part of a plumber's union "licensed."

Really I just want to find a job where I can work 10-12 hour days 5-6 days a week, live at a company facility, and not have to (emotionally) think much about how much of a failure my life feels like right now. I'd like to just focus on working and making gains at the gym, with maybe an hour or two dedicated to my own hobbies right before bed, and do that for a few years. I've always been considered an exceptional worker everywhere I've had a job/usually got bumped up the ranks within a span of months because I actually listen, (hell, I went from intern to part-time to full-time at my current job in four months) but initially getting hired anywhere to prove that I'm not just being a smug cunt about it is basically impossible, even when I offer to work under-the-table or for sub-optimal pay for a few months to prove I'm not lying/I can get shit done. It's made me realize that for all these "shortages in trades" in America, the real shortages are in people with 5-15 years of experience, not with folks who are trying to get to that 5 years of experience who are left out to dry despite this alleged "shortage." Apologies for the blogpost. It's been a rough week.

To my knowledge there's companies designed around helping you get around this shit. Basically dating a couple times and proving you fucked is enough to get all the other questions out of the way for gaining citizenship.

>THAT IS A SIN

Only if you marry before God…

If you do it as a civil union that is planned to be dissolved for purely administrative gain it's clearly not an alliance between you, your spouse and God, ergo not a sin to dissolve it.

>As I understand it, the reason the whole gun must be manufactured in AK, and not just the registered part, is to get around the commerce clause of the Constitution

Irrelevant. The supreme court already implicitly ruled on this specific issue. The feds can regulate homemade machineguns under existing even if you have a completely novel design and build it yourself. All you have going for you is hoping you don't get caught, which at that point why bother with all these "intra-state" extra steps?

>Citing the results of the Gonzales v. Raich case (June 5, 2005), the Supreme Court decided not to hear the case but rather to vacate the ruling below and remand it to court of appeals "in light of" Raich

…the Raich decision, wherein the Supreme Court decided that growing plants in your own yard–plants that are never sold–is interstate commerce.

Fucking jewish pilpul court, I swear. I don't know why people still support our ZOG. This shit needs a hard reboot via fascism.

Just move to Alaska and denounce your citizenship to render yourself undeportable but I don’t know if there is a immigration institution for the stateless migrants to keep you in Alaska so you will need to research on this idea first before you commit a crime.

How are the Aleutian Islands? What is the best region in Alaska?

d487b9  No.619652

The North Slope, because it has the lowest population density with a lot of space to bear, and is in the Arctic Circle. The Aleutian Islands are nice but islands, too cramped.

Literally been considering the same last few months Op. Looked into earthships and bermed up shipping container homes for not only the geothermal buff, but all other shtf scenarios. Cheap, reliable and fast setup. Firewood would be the goto for heat with little required cuz hella insulated. Were it possible to capture enough solar/wind/hydro energy, it may be possible to also make an efficient aero or aquaponics system underground for veggies. This supplementing the hunt/gather of the season to your stores, as well as a valuable and appreciated commodity. At this point I just need a dash more fiat, a tactival loc, and to learn Russian (they'd take alaska first), then rdy.

>shipping container homes

Seems like a bad idea, especially if you're in a region with a lot of snow inb4 the leafautists start their shitstorm again. Shipping containers, especially mostly empty ones, have next to no structural integrity and can easily start to buckle if too much weight is put on them.

>sign a twelve year contract with the army

Why 12? Before Mavni was suspended it was enough to just do the normal one term (4-6 yr AD or 8 yr reserve). Btw, anyone know what's up with that now? If you're GC holder already can you enlist and get citizenship, or is that also shitcanned?

>you had better be very talented

Not really, just be able to find like 8 people who will write letters of rec saying they think you're talented.

Anyways, sorry to hear about your situation anon. If I could start a cattle ranch in Alaska that would be a dream come true for me, and I would love to have people like you come help me with it. Without a fancy corporate lawyer though I doubt I'd ever be able to justify the H-1B app though. Although then again, one could make the argument that you're some british highland cattle expert or whatever.

>>615541

Well, immigration fraud is a crime and they do sort of check. There's an interview where you have to convince them it's real, probably a lot easier if you've had a big wedding with family, share a house, share expenses, regularly fugg, go on about how much you love each other and so on. I think they do show up at your house sometimes.

But there's always tons of people that claim to have done a GC marriage, so I'm sure it happens a lot. Sounds risky though, if you get caught you're kinda fucked.

>>615968

Most lawyers offer interview prep. They say it's very easy to pass (assuming legit marriage).

>>619188

I'll also remember. But remembering somehow seems like not quite enough.

Doing this sort of thing is a goal of mine, and I'm trying to save money and what not. But I feel kinda fake and gay saying "let's talk about this again in a few years". Who knows if this board will even be up by then. Wish we could do some proactive networking. Hopefully if/when I show up here in half a decade looking for cattle hands on my shitty ranch at least some of you faggots will be hanging around.

>>619456

They just ask you some reasonably clever questions. If you're retarded and can't keep your story straight, into the trash it goes. It's all up to the case officer's discretion anyway.

70f214  No.621286

I learned that it is legal for the foreigners to buy land or property. That is great because it means we can crowdfund the cattle farm project to buy the lands.

I gotta escape california, fuck this place. I'm not a fucking socal LA faggot or a goddamn hipster. The left is a plague here and it permeates every goddamn thing you interact with. Have to go to Nevada to see a good NSBM show because when lefties get wind they threaten to boycott the place and/or riot so the bands just don't come.

Nigger spics kikes and tweakers in abundance. Homeless drug addicts infecting once quiet areas. Schools are pozzed and common core is making our children dumber by the day. The only safe haven is fucking Modoc County. Can't have guns, can't have an opinion (cuz straight white male), women are literally shoehorned into management positions and they're awful. I need out of here. I'm fortunate I can save money and am nearing my goal.

Because realistically it takes 1-2 years to learn a task, and 5 years to get enough experience to be considered competent.

That's why all employers ask for 5 years experience, they don't want to re-train a person.

And what the fuck does the army get out of it if they train you for 5 years and you leave one year later?

Bullshit. I went from being trained as an intern to running an assembly line to being the head assembler in six months with no prior experience in that field of work, and am basically the foreman's assistant after two years of working with the company. The only thing experience means in most industries is you're familiar with the product/machinery/work goals in question so they don't have to babysit you for the first 2-4 months (which they will have to do anyways). I can train a fucking new guy in six months how to do something better than a guy who's worked in the industry for five years (and have done so twice now), there's just a longer initial period of profit loss since I have to start from the basics. Most employers ask for five years experience because they really want to give that job that requires 0 job experience to their coworker's little brother or something similar, but are willing to take on someone else if they have industry experience already. It's a shitty boomer mindset built mostly from an over-saturated market, and it's fucking disgusting. I'm glad that at least in the trades, the old fucks are dying off/retiring, and the companies can't find "new recruits fresh out of college/trade school with ten years work experience lol" so they're forced to actually hire us young folk and pay us semi-decent wages while training us (or else let their business go bankrupt).
