>just one best for survival
There is no best.
1. high-ish caliber fullsize semiauto pistol. 10mm, .357m, .44m, anything comparable, as long as it's fireable / readily available. No need for muh dubstack zins, those are for antisoyboy calibers, like 9mm. Close range, stopping power, moderate use when hunting, best weight/volume to firepower ratio.
2. 12 gauge shotty, with at least 3+1 mag. More the better, as long as it's compact enough. Versatile, but big. Ammo is bulky. Can be used as a melee weapon.
3. Intermediate cartridge out of simple semiauto. I would pick some CZUB in 7.62x39 just because I'm a czfag. Medium to long range, power, moderate bulkiness. Don't use faggy cartridges though, go for simplest available which is still powerful enough. .223 rem might be a bottom line in stopping power.
4. Revolver in powerful caliber. The more power you have, the less ammo / drum you get, so it is a kind of worst option. There was that faggy taurus revolver pistol that was taking shotshells which can have bird/buck/micropenis slugs. It sucks because it does a shitty job of being a shotgun while only having 5 round drum, but it's still versatile and strong enough.
.22lr is a good idea in only one scenario: you don't have literally anything else. The biggest meat you can get is a piglet / a niglet, but in both cases you would need William Tell accuracy, as both have brains size of walnuts.
Capacity for survival is stupid. Your every shot counts, you are not spraying, but take calculated risks and fire no more than needed, and sometimes less.
Personally, I would take 1 if available, and 2-3 with equal priority depending on circumstances.
