Nah your gun laws still sound like shit, maybe (if my memory is correct) New Zealand can talk shit but at least we don't have an impassable road block assuming the asshole you go to for your tests has a stick up their ass.
>All you have to do is get tested by doctor and psychologist
Here's the worst part. That possible road block. If said doctor is a faggot he could always fudge your test results possibly fucking you for life when it comes to getting guns and other things not involving guns but still requiring clean records.
>file an application for licence
>license just to own
This is shit. No I will not try to hide the fact that there is a small minority of states that require licenses, but it's just that. A small list that I hope never expands.
> It takes 1-2,5 months to get a licence
I'm going to hope for the best for you and assume it's 1-2 months not 1-5 months. Again a small minority of states have such a thing (new jersey is the only one at the top of my head that has such a long wait time) while the majority don't. Even California's safe gun handling certificate is granted to you IMMEDIATELY after passing an elementary tier multiple choice test and guns are released after ten days. Either way a wait time of any kind is still shit.
>you can buy whatever the fuck you want as long as it's not fully automatic; that includes sawn-off shotguns, normal-lenght
We can still have all that AND have full auto (at an exorbitant price unfortunately). The main down side is it requires a $200 tax stamp and a long ass wait. Other than that an 18 year old can buy a normal AR15 for his birthday and walk out with it in the same day in most states.
>instead of butchered up shit because you can't import them
Unfortunate yes. But no one can actually enforce 922r compliance once you take it home and restore it yourself to its proper form. The only time this is an issue is if you try to sell it during non private party transfers.
>We have best gun laws in the world in my opinion.
The best gun laws would be zero restrictions for a citizen other than if said citizen has the money or not. Getting complacent because you think you have it good when in reality you still get shafted from Gov't taking a handful from your wallet, and holding you up for a long wait period during the process of acquiring even a simple shotgun is still shit. Yes there are parts of american gun laws that are total shit but I have never envied Canadian or English gun laws just because they can get a short shotgun, slap a butt stock on their pistol, or buy a sound suppressor and walk out with it same day. All gun laws are shit and thinking it's okay while not pushing to remove restrictions is how you end up like the NRA. They're either cucking out because they've gained ground and think that the gained ground is breathing room and not something to hunker down to defend hard. Or they sit on their asses not making a push while the gun grabbers go around pokingg and prodding for weak spots and eventually finding it which creates shit like California's all but in name micro stamping handgun ban.
