Greetings /k/ommandos.
I have a dilemma. I have a Garbage rod in pretty decent condition. If I could, I'd sell it because they're going for $400-$500 for one in my condition and $200-$300 for a rusty nugget. I haven't called my local gun shop yet as they aren't open yet, but I'm figuring I won't get much selling to them. I have a feeling I'll get a better deal with a trade. And also, I really don't really want to go through the hassle of listing it online. Like I said, I figure a trade will be my best option. If they actually gave me around $450 I'd like a S&W M&P 9 2.0 compact. I need a better CCP than my little Hungarian Makarov. It isn't the most reliable, and fails if you feed it anything other than PPU. Some more expensive brass gives stovepipes even, let alone numerous malfunctions Tula brings to the table. Plus it's not the most accurate and I have big hands with a firm and high grip angle, so the hammer bite (or the slide, not sure) often times draws blood at the range. Gripping lower is awkward, looks wrong, feels immensely wrong, and results in a loose pinky finger. So yeah, the M&P is probably the way to go. There are two problems I have with the whole situation; I am poor and can't justify paying extra if they won't trade me the M&P; I have to stick with a trade. And here's the second problem
>Be me
>Have a rich friend from Massachusetts
>everyone thinks he's Jewish
>he sometimes jokes about being a kike
>Is an excellent gambler
>Literally pays for everything including rent, his monthly Hertz car rental, food, clothing etc, LITERALLY EVERYTHING with gambling money he's earned
>Money parents give him is extra
>Armenians are Jews
>Anyways, I'm off topic
>I take him to the range
>He often jokes about how much he hates me for giving him a new addiction
> Fast forward 3 weeks
>At this point, friend has acquiredhis Ohio drivers license and 2 firearms. A Savage .22LR bolt action, and used Smith and Wesson M&P 22 pistol (which is sadly the least accurate firearm I have ever shot, because it's pretty fun to shoot)
>We stop in at our local Rural King
>He decides he's going to get another handgun, this time something he can actually conceal carry.
>We're looking at some various firearms and I'm suggesting Glock 19, S&W M&P Shield, S&W M&P 9 compact, Springfield XD(m)9 compact, XD(s) etc.
>Turns to me and expresses that he really wants a revolver
>yousureboutthat.png
>I am walking him through different brands, starting with the shit and working my way up
>Taurus .38
>Ruger LCR
> A very nice Ruger GP100 .357/.38
>Smith and Wesson 686 .357/.38
>Mfw friend tells me even the GP100 is too pricey
>Forgetting friend might actually be one of (((them)))
>Counter guy starts taking him through the $250-$350 concealable revolvers
> Friend is 6'3" and fat as hell
>Massive hands
> All these guns are too small for his hands
>Until we come upon the EAA Windicator .357 magnum/.38 Special 2" snubby for $280.
>Hands down one of the best feeling guns there, but was still small enough to be concealed, but large enough to be capable of shooting .357 mag
>We're both sold on it and he buys it
>Fast forward about an hour and we're at the range
> We shoot
> Cheap little snubby is surprisingly accurate and I'm maintaining a 3" grouping at about 15 yards
> Trigger is short, light and crisp as hell (in SA of course, but DA was good as well and nothing like my Makarov's 14lbs trigger)
>I'm in love.
So, now that I've told my story, here we come to the problem at hand. I'm more likely to get a trade for the Windicator based on it's price. I really love shooting the Windicator. It feels great. Amazon sells speed loaders that fit the gun for $11. Holster I will admit is harder to come by. Local shop said they'd do the 4" barrel for $300.
I've never done a firearm trade, always purchased my guns, so I don't know how good of a deal I'll get from my nugget. I WANT to be smart, and get the practical M&P or something similar at a trade value I can get. I want to be smart. I also want that revolver.
/k/ what the actual fuck do I do?
