If both Russia and China decided to support Iran with everything they have, then they could dominate the Middle East. Of course they don't really have anything to win from that. After all, the USA is only playing in that sandboc because the Zionist lobby is incredibly strong, and the Wahhabists are also a force to be reckoned with. I doubt that China needs any help to colonize Africa, if anything they don't want any outside influences disturbing their work, and so they'd gain nothing from this alliance there. South America is the part of the world that exists, but nobody knows how to use it for anything significant, so this alliance woulnd't do anything there. Russia wants to be the big bad bear of Europe, and China wants to be the great dragon of East Asia, therefore they aren't in direct confontration as of now, but they aren't natural allies. All in all, this would be the kind of alliance that only exists on paper. NATO is the military administration of the USA in Europe, so it's really a different kind of "alliance".
