So I'm thinking of buying either a 9mm or a 45 with a threaded barrel so I can add a suppressor. I was originally thinking of Kimber, but have heard a lot of negative things about them. Would you guys have any thoughts or recommendations? I'd be willing

I read somewhere that using a suppressor on a USP will fuck up the inserts in the frame that the slide rides on, since the frame is polymer. Something to consider.

there's a shit ton of them out there and for that reason you'll never be satisfied with the one you own. Once I was content with an xdm. Then I hated Springfield for being gay, so I got a p229, but didn't like the double-action single action, so I bought a Glock but didn't like how efficient the glock was and wanted to use an actual gun, and now I have a p320 and I want something else because it's too perfect and a Jew runs Sig, so now I want a CZ p-10c in .40 (i hate 9mm) but none are available for I don't want to leave my p320 even thought I want the CZ.

I'd say get the CZ p-10c or the Sig p320.

build it yourself? It might be a bit over you budget at the end of the day, but you could potentially spread out the purchases across six months.

I just spent the past hour researching the 2011 pistol. It's available in 80% form and completion is much like completing a 1911, but you get double-stack capacities. Also the magazines cost $75 apiece for I'm really not sure what reason.

But 6.25" threaded 1911 barrels are out there. Possible available in 10mm too but right at the moment all I can find is a few .45's on Ebay.

First .45 is the way to go.

Second can you get a second hand MK.23 in the US at a decent price, it's around 1600€ around here.

That's basically the best .45 "silencer ready" handgun you will ever find (as in they designed them for that).

-Come with both a safety and a decocker, so I can carry according to mood and clothing.

It's the only gun I found that tick all the boxes.

45 is the superior round for suppressed shooting due to the natural tendency to be subsonic.
