Why not? DEA has much more expertise in drugs than SOF doorkickers. FBI helps in searching a target site after oper8ors have raided it and help with investigation is general. Could you train military to perform DEA and FBI jobs? Sure, but they'll never be as good as dedicated unit.

They already are. They're trained in CQB, parachuting, even maritime operations. They also train together with SMUs.

Where the fuck have you been, OP? DEA and FBI have been operating outside CONUS for decades. DEA was preforming raids in SA with SOF throughout the 70's and 80's, and the FBI has been involved in a slew of OCONUS military operations for about the same amount of time. What makes it different now is the involvement of the DEA and FBI is that it is no longer ad-hoc and under the radar, it's now all offically sanctioned and recognized.

Afghanistan's primary helicopter for their armed forces.The Soviets practically gave the Afghani armed forces piles of them in the 70s. Presumibly the DEA or FBI can't act independently and use US military equipment and thus needs to use Afghani equipment.

Deep state vs. Public state.

You have the Public US state, which are the people the USA tries to create their good guy image with, those are the army, marines and police. They fight drug dealers and other criminals and are forced to follow all the political correct bullshit.

Then you have the Deep US state, which are the people the USA uses to do what it wants. They are the shadowy bosses of the very drug dealers and criminals the Public US state fights and they are not above hurting/raping children or doing terror attacks on their own people, to move the country in their desired direction.
