Bought an unfired one from my grandpa for $500. Now I have lots of mags and ammo. Anyone else have experience with these? Looks like a decent fuckin' rifle.

Addendum: Will this have "minute of man" accuracy out to 300-400yds with irons? Would like to set up a competition with my friend at the local range.

He got it new in '94. Probably post-ban. He said it came with a cap over the threads and a little nubbin in the mag catch that prevented standard-cap mags from being used (this was promptly filed off I presume as all my 30 rounders and my drum fit perfectly)

I have no plans to bubba this up like my friend does with his comblock stuff. His yugo SKS has a picatinny rail on the dust cover and every time I look at it, it hurts

Tbh I'm not even worried about an optic. Learning to use AK iron sights and making consistent shots on target at range with them is (at least for me) a feat in and of itself, don't want to bypass the fundamental skill of using irons by adding a scope just yet

Although I will admit, putting a PSO on this thing would be pretty mint
