Take the NRA for example. Can it be demonstrated that members of its board possess a significant financial interest in grandfathered GCA / NFA items? Are they known associates of any such people? Have there been any internal votes within the NRA which went a certain way because of these individuals? Any policy announcements? Anything at all? I don't think every potential buyer (people interested in the feature and with enough money) would care nearly as much for full auto if it wasn't a scarse product. Turning it into a limited product gives it a collectible status, thus making it desireable to people that otherwise wouldn't bother with it. Yes that is, just because there's no money involved doesn't mean it's not capitalism. If farmer Joe owns his farm and can run his farm to grow whatever he wants using his own capital, that's capitalism. If farmer Joe didn't own his farm and had to run his farm to grow what the government wants him to grow, that's communism.
