>I'd like to know what you guys know and think of bodyguards and bodyguarding as a profession.
they get cool perks and benefits from the people they protect.
>I'm interested in /k/ things but it's hard to find any classes or courses that are open to the general public around these parts. Of the few that aren't exclusively for military/police, many are restricted to licensed bodyguards. So, I'm thinking of taking the classes and getting certified so I can attend them, and maybe I'd like to work in this area.
being a private sector bodyguard is different than a government bodyguard. the latter being way cooler.
>Are there any bodyguards here? I'm relatively fit but I have bad knees that hurt if I run or cycle, would that prevent me from being able to to the job? Any interesting stories or trade secrets related to executive protection?
they aren't so much classes in a traditional sense, more like supplemental training. easier to get into that type of bodyguarding if you're in law enforcement for x years and having y amount of experience. how the fuck do you have bad knees? and do these "bad knees" compromise your ability to run/fight? no one is going to want you (only after you're in the job +seniority) if your physical body is at a disability.
