Nah the reason for the USA to involve themselves in the World Wars was to depose of the European Empires, so that the USA would be free to establish their own Colonial Empire.

After they defeated Nazi Germany their goal was achieved, as both the UK and France were heavily indebted to the USA and nobody else in Europe was in the condition to oppose this status.

Another big war would only have destroyed this achievement and would have pushed the USA into economic ruin even if they had won, besides communism was a good boogeyman to have as an excuse so the USA could "protect" other countries like Korea, Vietnam, Cuba, West Germany, Greece etc. and all the Nations south of the USA.

We shouldn't have intervened in the first place, not in the first or the second. Should've just stayed home, not provoked the Nips for no reason, and sold weapons to both sides like we were doing the first time.
