There's no discharge in the war!

>straight rifling (Some have said smoothbore)

>standard 5.56 keyholes at 50 yards

>proprietary ammo if you want any usability

>no info on how well this ammo performs, besides being able to achieve and alleged 1 MOA.

I personally wasn't TOO interested in this, but I was looking forward a tad, and this surpasses my lowest expectations. More like a degradation rather than a reformation.

They should've went for oval rifling to be quite honest, the Russians have that down to a science.

But for states that can't have detachable mag semi autos, or just SBRs, it would be decent for home defense (within 10-20 yards).

There may be ways around that whole thing like a rifling only close to the muzzle for only 3 inches or so or some other shit, but didn't expect straight rifling at all.

What's the supposed advantage over a shotgun?

d29e26 No.545211

shorter and more shots

Alright, this is nice and all but how much will the gun/special ammo cost?

f57e19 No.545227

>inb4 BATFE cucks throw it into the AOW category

607b3c No.545228

>>545227

The (((ATF))) already looked at the damn thing and didn't declare it AOW.

d29e26 No.545229

>>545227

They can't, it's over 26", they'd have to come up with new shit and that's manufacturing regulations out of their ass.

>>545226

The gun is ridiculous at 2k, but they will sell the barrels themselves. to be honest I'd just buy a blank 22 barrel, no rifling then pull a button through it myself and send it off to the gas chambers to be nitrided but that's just me

d77a83 No.545235

Hey, instead of having the fire arm industry put so much effoty in finding loopholes, how about they start working on chipping away the NFA?

For instance they could exempt non-semi autos from the NFA.

They could deregulate suppressors.

d77a83 No.545236

>>545229

somebody said that they should have done oval rifling like the Russians do.

d29e26 No.545237

>>545236

I did right in this thread, is it a response to that?

>>545235

Difficult since the media is as loud as it is. It would have to go through an omnibus but I don't think NeoCons would like that very much either.

You have enemies on both sides with that, better to just keep showing how stupid the laws are and chip away at it bit by bit.

I only see the suppressor law going away for now, after that a grassroots movement for stocks on pistols for older people and disabled vets can work.

0a7254 No.545239

>>545237

> better to just keep showing how stupid the laws are and chip away at it bit by bit.

This would just reinforce the Stockholm Syndrome everyone's beginning to feel with the NFA and other regulation. I think what we need are some virtue-signalling corporations to counter the left's own efforts. Imagine this advertisement:

>Hello /k/ameraden, your friendly Heckle my Koch repersentative here

>Doesn't this new gun look cool? It fires fully automatic, 30 caliber assault clips out of a shoulder thing that goes up. It can fold neatly up to an OAL of 1.6", isn't that convenient?

>Unfortunately, we can't sell this and other ways for you to defend your rights because your representatives in Congress haven't repealed the NFA yet

>With just two minutes of your time, you could help bring more guns to a state near you. Call today!

I exaggerate or not, but I feel something in this vein could be beneficial.

664343 No.545240

>>545208

It doesn't count as either rifled or smoothbore, which makes it exempt from most of the NFA (the only category it could possibly fall under is "machine gun").

d29e26 No.545242

>>545240

no it isn't, it's under just "firearm".

that weird classification that barely anyone uses.

>>545239

That's kinda what that gun is.

1da3cc No.545244

Have you been hounding the primary candidates for your house seat and (if applicable) senate race(s) about introducing NFA repeal?

So it's not completely shit?

5911d0 No.545281

>>545242

He means "machinegun" is the only NFA classification that could potentially be applied to it that is left, not that it IS currently classified as such. Granted the only way for it to actually become one is if congress pushes through a bill to revise "machineguns" to include bumpfire aids, binary triggers and other similar accessories during trump's lame duck period.

Though that also assumes that the caveat that can turn the shotgun derived "firearms" we've seen so far into AOWs doesn't also apply the Reformation.

4a0bd4 No.545283

>>545199

Only there so you don't have to do the tax stamp

Can't you make a lawsuit or something declaring the NFA unconstitutional?

I came in trying to figure out how they got around the law, I'm pretty happy. Probably won't buy it but just that there's this shit that flips off gun laws in broad daylight without a gay not-a-stock. I like it.

Does it mean that flechette firing smoothbore weapons are merely firearms according to US law? Other than this retarded barrel length misery, what else can you do to a firearm that isn't allowed with a rifle?

e0eb38 No.545294

>>545290

More questions: would it have an impact on imports? Specifically the ban on salt raifus and blanket import bans from certain countries. Could Izhmash develop a flechette 5.45x39mm and flood the American market with smoothbore AK-74s?

64fbfe No.545322

>>545290

This whole thing was word/definition fuckery. The best action we can take is use eldritch moon scribes to use word fuckery to ass rape gun laws and cause masssive butt frustration for the unfortunate agent tasked with trying to figure out why it's legal or not, risking his sanity or even life before saying fuck it and giving it the green light.

What is it with burgers and being unable to move forward a conversation? Or is there something in my posts that suggests I don't understand the subject at hand, or what?

747093 No.545498

>>545470

The only thing it may bypass is 922r which is the total number of us made parts in a so called assault weapon. Importers like century will take a gun in a safe configuration i.e. thumbhole stock, single stack and modify them to be normal. Before russian sanctions saigas were just fine with rifle grip and fucked up triggers after the sanctions even safe guns are gone (as far as I know there hasn't been a single shot baikal shotgun being sold as factory new import remington spartan series for example). The best example of all this is the vepr ban after news came out that they were working with russians which the guns themselves were built around being a "safe" not an AK. And in the case of norinco they were banned by name, the hawk series shotguns (and other chink made shit) that have become popular recently were made by a different company but sold/distributed by norinco (?) But mak 90s are still illegal to import regardless of shape and function.

SHORT ANSWER IS NO

9e154b No.545521

>>545294

The real question is if it is even worth the loss in accuracy and proprietary ammo just to have an short barreled firearm. I don't believe it would impact imports but it could. Plus I wouldn't want them to split production to make this shit. I think anyone wanting a shorty AK would be better served getting one of y'alls FEG AMD type raifus.

81615b No.545596

Nerf or nothin

715e5d No.545615

I wanna see how that nerf dart looking thing runs through ordinary rifling.

d29e26 No.545617

>>545615

it'll need a faster spin to stabilize and would have shitloads of drag since it's rotating against the fin stabilization.
