The first time I went shooting I wasn't exited, I was extremely young and didn't fully understand. I thought I was being taught a life lesson, and I suppose it's kinda true. In the end I'm more excited about going to the range now then back then. But I'm sad I'll never have that experience and fully understand what it means.

First timewas when I was 17, with a friend of mine who was 18, it was a range that rented handguns, got a Beretta M92, because huge 80s cop film fan. First round, full wood. Went through 100 rounds and absolutely loved it.

Fast forward 2 years, get my PAL, don't bother with RPAL because poorfag, and buy two SKSs, one for me and one for my (then) underage brother to teach him how to shoot, and eventually sell to him when he gets his PAL.

We go out to some crown land to shoot, and find what I can only describe as a redneck totem pole, with a satellite dish for a head, dead tree for a body, and two baking sheets for arms. We spent easily 400 rounds shooting it and beer cans off the twigs. He took his PAL test the day after his 18th birthday.

The Taurus PT111 Gen2 is well made. I have one, in addition to $1400 Kimbers. I bought the Taurus because I like the controls; no adjusting hand to release mag and the like… Don't knock it til you've tried it retard Soyim, all you do is parrot things you've heard like the sheep that you are. I've ~2200 rounds through my PT111 gen 2 and ZERO malfunctions yet.

That feeling of stout recoil is addictive to some of us. When the analytical mind finally puts grainage and velocity together it becomes entranced. When the precision minded begin putting holes on top of holes it becomes obsessed.

Put them all together and you get a life long love for guns and shooting.

IDK remember when I started shooting or my first shooting experience. I have two early memories that stick out though

>be so young the .22lr/.410 break open savage is the same height as me

>Shoot in rural northern country at dollar store pots hung on trees 50 and 100 yards away.

>Not the best shot but I hit the pans a decent number of times while my dad helps hold the rifle and prevent recoil (yeah I know there is little recoil)

Story II:

>about the same age

>Damn Noveske ar15 was about as big as me

>Shooting through an eotech at 50 yards

>doing decent groups and hit the bulls eye a few times

>one problem

>the gun was too big so I had a shitty posture behind it

>only way to look through eotech was to get close to the charging handle

>every time I fired the charging handle would hit my face because I was small and I couldn't fully resist the recoil

fun times
