I want to put a Russian POSP scope on my FAL. Specifically, I want one like the scope on my Romanian PSL: fixed 4x magnification, 1,000 meter rangefinder. Kalinka Optics and East Wave Optics have POSP/PSO-1 scopes with Weaver mounts, but they're all sold out of the fixed mag, 4x, 1,000 meter models; all they have are variable zoom optics that are more fragile, or they have mil-dots instead of the stadiametric rangefinder, or they have way too much magnification (8x or higher). I want something like a poor man's ACOG to turn my FAL into a DMR.
According to Kalinka, Russian government contracts have bought up all the scopes like the one I want and they won't be available for sale again until later this year. But, they DO have the exact scope I want in stock… for the Dragunov SVD.
I've seen plenty of adapters allowing you to mount a Weaver/Picatinny scope onto an AK with the side rail mount, but does anyone make an adapter allowing you to mount a scope for the AK/SVD on a rifle that has a Weaver rail? I've had no luck finding any.
