A few days ago I shot this deer, me and my buddy were hunting on some private land in the Texas hill country, I had forgotten my hunting license, but hey, game wardens are just another wing of ZOG, right? It was late, about 8:00 AM, we figured there was no chance we'd get a shot, so we decided to hike. So, there is this creek/river dividing the property, about 25 yards wide, 3-4 feet deep, we cross on some slick rocks to the other side. We decide to walk along the property line, which has some fairly steep incline's (Hill country, after all) by this point we are at least 3-400 yards from the creek, which is no longer visible through the brush. And then this fucking deer pops out in front of me, 50 yards max, I blast it with my savage, "Hog Hunter" model, 20" barrel, .308 handloads, topped with a vortex crossfire 2 4x12. I blew it's spine into bits, dropped like a rock. Anyways we gutted it and I carried it on my shoulders, In the rain, down some slippery, rocky hills and through a creek (We were moving fast due to the fact that the deer was not legal either, too young of a buck).
The wound pictured was caused by 150 gr Hornady interlock SP traveling at about 2700 fps

I feel like the only way to get this off my chest is telling it here. I had a shitty Christmas for the most autistic reasons and that's because my dad bought me a M4 Sherman Household Tank and I don't want it but do at the same time because I didn't seriously think they'd get me one when they asked if I wanted a model but it'd be rude to reject it & not spend time with him on it as the box just collects dust in my room unloved. The thing was made in China which immediately sucked out any joy and soul I could've received from it and I felt bad because the toy is rejected by its owner and it cannot be assured that someone else will take care of it like a kid. I tried to make my dad feel better asking why he thought the M4 Sherman was a good tank and he got noticeably upset saying it just looked cool and it's just a toy.
I never asked for these emotions what the fuck is wrong with me, I feel like I'm 5 again and I never want to get any Christmas presents ever again when I don't care about material goods and don't want to hurt my family because Christmas is just another consumerist holday, I didn't buy them fucking anything and didn't give them a list because so. Call me a fag or severe assburger because I 99% sure I am.

It's one of those things when a family member tries to get involved in your hobbies but half-asses it because they don't really give a shit, but feel obligated or feel a need to try and relate. My family couldn't understand why I refused to participate in secret santa next year and insist on getting gifts for everyone to their hobbies, even though it typically runs me for about a month's worth of paychecks every year (not that I care monetarily since I'd rather blow cash on them for gifts than for when they don't make their car payments and ask for gibs). They've never made an effort to even relate to my hobbies past a superficial level because they feel obligated to return the favour for some reason, and while I try not to look a gift horse in the mouth, superficial gifts out of a felt "necessity" feel much more petty than "we didn't get you a gift."

That wasn't my problem with the gift, it's that I don't play with toys so therefore would never use it have it decay in my closet making my parents feel more apathetic towards me due to my apathy which fucking eats at me because they love me. I also think of some kid who would love to have it or military nerd would like it in his collection and that also my father spent a lot of money on it but my parents have told me many times if that there was a gift I didn't like they would return it like I was an ungrateful spoiled child in my youth or they knew that I didn't care but regardless I'm aware it's a shitty thing to return gifts but this was too much for me so why not get the money back.
