For anyone that doesn't know which is just about everyone hence the shilling lots of literally who jew toobs are making review videos shitty advertising claiming it's the most hated rifle in the world due to its price tag of about 2k which I don't see how that even works as others have spent even more on a gimmicky rifle plenty of times. So basically fake controversy the gun.

6895a6 No.535700

>>535699

I knew that, but that happened like a year ago. Even Colion Noir did a video on it. Honestly, I don't see the point of spending much more than a BCM if that. Unless you're a competition shooter with special needs, I don't know why'd you'd do anything other than that.

So it's an ar-15? With a proprietary, heavy as fuck looking hand guard. With the absolutely stupid idea of covering a comp with said hand guard.

Meme.

6895a6 No.535850

>>535693

So what can we prais about this rifle? It's certainly not that rail, which has been superseded by open systems like M-LOK and Keymod. It's certainly not those BUIS, as they're basic bitch magpul shit, but this is a nitpick, since I prefer Troy sights. So what is so special about this rifle that warrants the high price? In a word nothing, but if I had to say one nice thing about the rifle is that I do enjoy that color. For a competition rifle, it looks pretty sweet, but unfortunately I prefer the color red.

I think the LVOA-C is a firearms product whose intended market is defense contractors, not private individuals.

Essentially, this is an AR15 with many aftermarket-mods offered as a stock platform. Defense contractors don't fuck around with customizing rifles, they order bulk weapon systems, and operate within margins. The LVOA-C is approximately $3000.

Can an individual build their own AR15 MOCK LVOA-C, and increase both quality and value? I'll see:

Cerakote = $210 http://tomscustomguns.com/cerakote-price-list/

The above AR15 MOCK LVOA-C loadout costs $1478.77 before taxes, shipping, and bureaucratic duties. It features some products that are arguably better than the those in the LVOA-C, and I don't think that any are objectively worse that are not otherwise accounted for. I did not choose the least expensive options from each category, nor shop around. I maintained all major function and characteristic of the LVOA-C, cut its price by half, accumulated a collection of spare parts, and demonstrated that an individual may easily build their own AR15 to the spec and quality of the LVOA-C (and beyond), and create a superior firearm that is of their own preferences.

For one third of the price, a distinctly similar rifle may be purchased off-shelf, and tailored to individual tastes:

https://aeroprecisionusa.com/m4e1-complete-rifle-16in-223-wylde-mid.html

Not modifying the lower markings to correlate with the 45 degree safety switch settings is super fucking sloppy, and enough to make me hate the LVOA-C.

Yep.

I omitted the mag drop paddle and ambidexterity.

The Battle Bar (pic related) allows for many opportunities (including the firing thumb) to drop mags without making the entire rifle a mag drop button.

Don't forget… for the price difference between my AR loadout (or presumably your own) and the LVOA-C, you buy two AR15s and dual wield for V-drills:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b7G-sOC3-sQ

Oh… and you can cerakote over plastics… so the basic bitch stock and other plastics from CBC industries might clean up well enough with a little preparatory sanding for smooth function.

A bit over 1022. I'm pretty sure that will make a much nicer rifle.

>Can an individual build their own AR15 MOCK LVOA-C, and increase both quality and value?

The question I posed to myself was not whether or not I could build a "nicer" AR15 for less than $3000, but could I cut out the manufacturer, maintaining or improving quality and features, and (essentially) recreate the LVOA-C for less?

So… my mockup had to account for every feature of the LVOA-C (or compensate for every feature in an improved fashion), while improving quality and price.

InRange's Stoner ARs project doesn't attempt to offer the features of the LVOA-C. Neither of their rifles (or yours) are even in the same calibre (.223 Wylde/5.56), I presume.

If I were to build an AR15 for myself, I would start by 3D printing a 3D printer. Then, I'd buy a used - preferably broken - rifle with a match grade barrel and lower in .223 Wylde/5.56 - 1:8, and print (and mold) parts to my own pleasure.
