If they really want to make a product that can compete with an over saturated market, there are basically two things they can do that could make me care.
1. Make faithful but slightly modernized versions of old slavic pistols.
2. Make the AR15 of pistols. Like an "honor guard" with the removable serialized part, with interchangeable everything else. Long slides, short slides, single stack frames, double stack frames, different trigger options. They'd make money hand over fist if they just create a solid platform with basic options, and encourage other businesses to do the real hard work for them. This is kinda what glock accidentally did.
