/k/ Which is better?

The Carbine is better at being a light rifle. The Mini-14 is better at being an improvised shotgun.

As far as I know, the Ruger will have a better ammunition selection to choose from than the .30 Carbine. But the M1 isn't a Ruger, and there's decent soft point ammo for it. So hard for me to say. I'd probably go for the M1 Carbine, seeing as I own one.

Well op you'll have to look into yourself to find the answer but I can give you the questions to aid you on your journey.

Do you want a shitty AR 15 with expensive mags and about $300 over priced? Or do you want a pistol caliber carbine that you won't find ammo for at wally world but definitely at gun stores for kiked prices and no variety.

Breivik gun

I just constantly see things about m1 carbines not being 100% reliable. If its a fun gun I heard they are nice shooters though.

M1's jam and Mini-14's are inaccurate, so the memes say. That's fairly true but #NotAllGuns are as bad as others of their kind. Ruger put heavier tapered barrels on their newer Mini's and some M1's are crafted better than others and will have less issues.

>he goes to walmart for ammo purchases

>Mini-14

• Wider ammunition selection

• Modern construction

• Much more capable at range

- Worse accuracy than bottom-of-the-barrel ARs

- Expensive proprietary magazine

- Crappy ironsights

>M1 Carbine

• Battle-tested

- Battle-testing results up in the air because of unreliable sources, negative or positive

• Very, very light

- Stupid amount of muzzle-risenot talking about recoil you retard

• Reliable, albeit limited sources of ammunition

• Magazines are everywhere

- Magazines are the main source of problems

- Arguably crappy sights unless it's the early flip sight

Learn to use the variety of ammo price comparing jazz online.

I spend far less online than I do buying from the store. Only issue is, expensive shipping cost means I usually have to buy bulk for it to be worth it, and I really don't shoot my babies as much as I should.

>Mini-14 VS m1 Carbine

if this were the 1960s then 60 dollars (around 450 now) would be not bad. mini 14 would overall be better because .223 is leagues ahead of .30 carbine. if you don't believe .223 effectiveness on people just read/watch the recounts of the 1986 Miami shootout. guy with an SBR'd mini 14 in .223 was shot multiple guys to incapacitation (lol .22 caliber) with ease.
