So, in the interest of the pursuit of KNOLEGE I cam across the jammer store https://www.jammer-store.com/

I would like to ask the /k/ommandos here how they would go about jamming radio/sattelite/cell networks and whether "signal jamming" is meme-tier laughable or not.

If you wanted a 20m radius area to go blackout (all freqs, Sat/Cell/Radio), what would you use?

1. Build a small tesla coil that resonates at 2.4ghz.

2. Crank that fucker up full blast.

Problem solved.

What?

Dude a slightly leaky microwave (90% on market) blocks cellphone and wifi signals in a 50m radius.

Federally, that's illegal. FCC doesn't like that

secondly you just need to overpower a whole band using it's protocol, like GSM, LTE, GPRS etc etc.

Thirdly shit's illegal and only for alphabet agencies.

Summary, no fun allowed

Hypothetically, if you were in an scenario where you have to be jamming communications especifically VHF, UHF, how easy and with what tools would a counter-communications unit find your spark gen?

I'm asking not exactly IF or WHO can find it, they can and will, it's more on a timeframe between device activation and geolocation depending on what tool they use, and what tools could be used to also do the same to the opponent deploying similar devices.

Jamming works and works well, which is why, like >>528566 said, it's illegal. You can easily jam things like GPS, radio, and so on, with a powerful enough signal on the right frequency. The problem is if you do that you're also broadcasting the location of said jamming device which makes it easy for police or three letter agencies to find it. If you are near the device when operating it, then they'll find you too.

I can't answer this question but I can say that you should contact your local ham radio club. Those people are no joke. Ask them to point you in the direction of the people who do Transmitter Hunting.
