I attend university with many Indians. They only think about the status and wealth associated with a career and are devoid of any original thought. They can sort of memorize things but can't seem to extrapolate or apply their knowledge.
The way Indians act around women is hilarious too. A German friend has a poo steal things so he can 'find and return' her belongings and my sister used to have a poo follow her around, sniff her hair and go 'Mmmmmmmmmm'.

Considering it's a replacement to Mirage, Flogger and Sepecat Jaguar, it's ok on paper. Last I heard they had development and implementation problems though.
Design decisions:
- It's only assembled in India, parts are from all over. They machined some structural elements abroad, I'm not sure where. The only thing their natively built were some composite panels. It's a great achievement for a shitter country though, these people couldn't build a steam locomotive in 1995.
- They bought the engine, straight up, from GE. This was a good solution, because only 3 countries in the world can make a solid fighter engine on their own, and India isn't one of them. And anything with a F404 strapped to it cannot suck because this engine is essentially a RD-33 with maxed out performance and higher quality materials.
- The cannon is Russian. This was a so-so choice. India can make their own cannon and ammo, the fact that they aren't is a sign of fiscal/talent/will-to-power weakness. But the GSh 30-2 is basically the best aircraft gun in the world, so it's not as bad a decision as it could have been, kind of like their F404 choice (best medium engine).
- They bought the bombs and missiles from a mix of countries. This was a crap decision on the face of it, if they go to war against a western ally they'll lack precision bombs, if they go to war against a russian ally they'll lack air to air missiles. I don't know why they did this.
Conclusion: Isn't exactly world competitive, I'm sure Canada or even Greece could build an improved variant, and we have basically no manpower compared to their 1.5 billion people.

I had a good laugh on the vid.
Not sure about rest of Texas, but Dallas, Houston, Austin are shitholes filled with Asians. I'm kinda being a hypocrite cause I am Chinese(American). But FFS at least have the decency to understand American culture and speak english. Our school plans to bring a Hindi teacher cause there's so many shit English speakers.
North Dallas region (Richardson) is ~20% Chinese. North West region near the airport is 80% indian in my community. Hell >33% are foreign born. My school is 55% black cause katrinia, 30% hispanic cause sanctuary city, and basically 7% Indian and 3% Korean. 5% Arabs (main girls) who cry lib tears and then threaten to snackbar you
The issue is the fact we have chinese/pajeests coming in that
a) Dont speak english
b) investment loophole
c) yell at me to get rid of muh scary rifle as a non citizen He keeps reporting me as someone whos gonna "shoot up a school"
d) Demand that the government treat them the same, or better than US citizens.
e) Illegally come and have children which then try to claim DACA or citizenship.
The US needs to end citizenship by soil. In addition, it needs to have stricter residency tests like the swiss. If you can't assimilate you don't belong in this country. Oh kiwi, heres a tip. The usual Chinese people just generally get kicked around a lot because they are taught to not really resist against stuff. Be careful the second generation that is born there.
Also, as long as the west has secularism and a christian population, it will remain incompatible with Islam. Period. At least the missionaries to try tended to be peaceful. The muslims just flat out riot there all the time.

Muh nationalism. Like I said, only three countries (US, Russia and France) have the infrastructure, engineering talent and the decades of science needed to build a jet engine from scratch, much less the rest of the fighter.
India, Japan and Korea all buy foreign parts to make their jets.
China tries, but their jet engines are civilian-grade crap, and their fighters are so garbage that they're basically a generation behind what the official claims are - when they aren't using foreign components.
Germany, UK, Italy, Spain all have to share tech and import some to sort of make 1 fighter, and France basically designed the whole thing for them and then they stole the design and kicked France out. Eurofighter still ended up being inferior to a fighter completed by France three times sooner. The fighter UK, Germany and Italy made without frog help (Tornado) was such a joke it carried a lead weight in its nose as ballast, because it had no fucking radar for eight years after entering service, they literally escorted Soviet bombers without a fucking radar.
UK had the ability to build fighters prior to 1980s, but destroyed it's own aerospace industry with zeal and purpose, they actually went after engineers to ruin their life and make it illegal for them to teach or work because they'd be "sharing information learned working on government projects". They all emigrated to USA.

But Them being Indians they have decided on two tier procurement. The line infantry getting foreign rifles and the supporting units within the same battalion getting a local rifle.
http://indiandefence.com/threads/infantry-to-get-foreign-rifles-others-to-get-made-in-india.66233/
>Now, army chief General Bipin Rawat has decided to buy only 250,000 assault rifles from the international market, and issue them only to combat infantrymen -- the frontline foot soldiers who are directly in contact with the enemy.
The remaining 550,000 army soldiers who are authorised rifles but serve mainly in non-infantry arms and services will get a new indigenous rifle. The army will choose between the INSAS-1C, designed by the Defence R&D Organisation (DRDO); and the Ghatak, designed by Ordnance Factory, Kirkee. These are less lethal than the infantry’s assault rifles, but also significantly cheaper, at about Rs 50,000 apiece.
>A variation of this debate played out in the Indian Army in the 1970s, when it was looking to replace its old 7.62 millimetre self-loading rifles (SLRs). At that time, it was argued that the army should get a 5.56 mm rifle, since that would not just be lighter, but it would also injure, rather than kill, an enemy soldier. That would take out of battle not just the enemy who was shot, but additional enemy soldiers who would be tied up in evacuating the casualty.
>Even within an infantry battalion, not every one of its 800-odd soldiers will be issued a 7.62 mm assault rifle. These will go only to soldiers who can expect to be in direct contact with the enemy: its four rifle companies and the commando platoon (called Ghataks), totalling up to about 565 persons per battalion. The remaining personnel would be issued other weapons such as 5.56 mm carbines and rifles.

To be entirely fair to the Pajeets it wasn't a single nation, there were several kingdoms in the subcontinent (who were happy to fuck each other over), and even within those kingdoms various lords and noblemen who considered themselves to be autonomous rulers rather than their monarchs sworn man (and who were prepared to sell out their kingdom or screw over that neighbouring lord they'd always hated).

I would say that killing enemy soldier outright is far better longer term solution than just wounding him and risking the possibility of him being able to teach others how not to get shot. Also, I think it might be more harmful for that guy's friends too; they are going to try to help him in vain. That probably is going to be more harmful for mental health than successfully evacuating your battle buddy and later hearing that he's just fine.

And then buy the tooling and hire the workers. Transplant the entire factory.
They can use the Ukrainian made rifles for the combat personnel and the Indian made rifles for the supporting troops.
Surely the Indians can't fuck up a Kalashnikov. Even Khyber pass tent-dwellers and depressed slavs can make them.
They can make some slight modifications to pass it off as an indigenous design as (((some people))) do.

They already buy large amount of AKs from Bulgaria (cheapest source) and in the past have bought them from Romania and I may be wrong here but they also bought vz-58s from the Czechs, back when the Kashmir freedom movement turned violent and the Indian's Army especially the Rashtriya Rifles fixation with the AK began.
They planned to produce an AK clone called AK-7 but the Russians were not happy:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/business/3466117.stm
They later made another rifle Trichy (which looked like a FNC chambered in 7.62x39 mm) but those plans have also not borne fruit.
Recently, the Russians withdrew from an Indian tender for 7.62x39 mm rifles, saying that the Indians wanted metal magazines which they longer make.

Success or losses only depends on how competent their officers are, zerg soldiers will do exactly what they're told to do with total disregard for their own safety.
Some South American countries have a decent military. Cuban specops were quite infamous.
