Wait a minute. Don't you need a custom bolt head?
I would love to get a conversion kit in 243, 7mm Rem Mag,and something like 8mm RUM.

DT SRS. Shits pretty cool actually IMO. It has a long ass barrel and is very (sub .5 MOA with good loads) accurate. Also features a fast changing multi caliber system. Con is that its expesnive af (~5k).

Anyone else sick of bolt actions costing more than semi autos.

Holy shit I thought that was the rifle price but it's just for the barrel. $450 buckaroos for a fucking barrel!

Why? If people buy a bolt action they're usually expecting precision/competition/custom shit when they end up costing way more than an AR/AK. If you're looking for a deer gun a howa or savage axis is around the 3-600 burger funbux range while a budget AR (that isn't total shit) can be had for 400. Most people buying a semi are looking for a blaster to shoot off at the range or defense tool for when something goes "ayy yo dawg check dis shit" in the night, and that doesn't require precision just not breaking. I'm more concerned with how that shit is 5k yet has screw holes all over like a fucking nerf gun worse yet is that it looks like plastic is over 90% of the gun and what looks like some fucked up mashing of plastic and metal using two or three screws in the area forward of the bolt handle to the rail

Even better, in the 2000s the Hungarian army adopted the Szép sniper rifle. Pic related.

A suppressor that, with its design and as the bullet leaves the muzzle, creates a pure tone that harmonizes the pitch of the broadband sound signature of the ballistic path ultimately eliminating the human ear's ability to detect and process the sound.
Do they exist, and can I find one?

f0fa17 No.527315

Given the frequency and wavelength of the bullet We assume the speed of sound is constant, it should be possible if you could somehow get a recording of the background noise. However, the mechanism of firing effectively creates an open tube in harmonics.
You'd get very obvious superposition, the key issue is adjusting the suppressor to the desired frequency. You might get really really long (read >1m) suppressor tubes for that. Which kinda make it impractical.
Also. Background noise might change significantly in some cases, eg; city environment.

In this case your bullet is moving, and the listeners are people standing around the gun so there are multiple moving listeners. This means frequency and amplitude will have to be adjusted for each listener, while the source of the sound is moving.
There's just no way to do it.

I wonder if its possible to use kinetics to propel the distance of a bullet significantly enough after which it propells itself. (Think SLBM launches). While it would be probably costly as fuck it might be a good method of concealing shots.

A properly bedded $300 Savage has the potential to be a half MOA rifle. I'm less concerned with dick waving over half inch groups at the range than consistency, maintenance and field usage.
Not that it matters, this thing is designed to appeal straight to the mall ninja crowd. I just didn't know you guys existed in Norway.

You know, at first I hated this rifle because of the stupid name, and the fact that it's a carbon copy of the DSR-1.
But I'll give you the reasons why I would like to own one. It's got a barrel switch system, so I can shoot .260 rem for PRS and F-class competitions, and whatever long range caliber I decide on that'll be too expensive to shoot regularly. And it's a pullpup. That's gotta be handy for positional shooting behind barricades, and the sort of shooting you'll run into during PRS competitions.
Third, there's only one guy in the country that I know of who owns it. Boom. Special snowflake. The removable bolt head isn't an issue.
I don't care if it ships with a complimentary multicam cowboy hat.

I'm curious now. Is it economically better to buy one of these then deal with extra barrels instead of buying a couple of off the rack rifles and accurizing them, or is it a legal issue where it's less of a hassle to have a multi caliber rifle and switching it rather then getting approved for different guns?
