Our police refuse to follow people who escape on mopeds because they might hurt the said criminal when they catch him.

Our police ran away during the London bridge attacks despite the attackers only having knives, causing the deaths of multiple people.

Our police refuses to investigate shoplifting and muggings because it costs too much, yet set up entire "hate crime" divisions to tackle "unfriendliness" (which they can never define)

Our police force has cancelled poppy day marches in multiple cities because of a "lack of funding" yet managed to scrape enough money together to protect the 200 pride parades that happened this year.

That is technically correct. However, the law isn't really enforced outside the major cities and the capital IIRC. I had a classmate from Xinjiang who tells me its strict there. You technically need your ID to buy a kitchen knife lol. But like everything in China, it's only enforced after something goes wrong. It still don't stop them gangstas from just steeling industrial grade iron and sharpening lol
