That Looks like the standard issue German binoculars. Been a while since I used them, but they are quite good.
They have rubber covers for the front ends though, which have a tendency of staying in front of the lenses or whatever you call them.
You can see this in the picture you posted actually: She has to keep her pinky of the right hand on the flap to prevent it from closing, while the left lense is already blocked.
This is no real problem though, since you can just invert the flaps and they will stay open. Also: only the right eye has the range markings on them, so you only need the right eye to find the range to a target.
