I'm going to be honest, that first webm seemed unnecessary. I think they just got out of a scrap and it looks like he ripped a mag off the cop, but then they make space and he doesn't press towards the cop.
Granted he was probably trying to take the cop's gun, but he failed and then just stood there like an idiot. Honestly I don't know if this one is justifiable on anything other than increased stress on police due to the country's current state.

They're "good goys" because they're part of the Ukranian army fighting the separatists (with some unmarked Russians) in Donetsk and thus are fighting on behalf of the EU's general plans involving Ukraine after Euromaiden. They're "Nazis" because a lot of their symbology invokes Nazi insignia and that Russians tend to call anything they dislike Nazis, especially those they believe to be infringing on their territory (in this case the territory they believe is theirs in Crimea). It really depends on who you ask.

It's because people have became so weak and naïve that they can't even fathom the fact that outside their "safe places" are people who will pull the trigger on their heads without batting an eye. That's WHY right to keep and bear weapons do exist. Because outside your door there be dragons.

Thanks. That song is really fucking heavy. I cant stop listening to it while reading the lyrics. Who is she referring to as the "Punishers"? Russian soldiers? Ukrainian? Jews? Is it a civil war? No religion involved? I remember when Obama was trying to send troops and weapons to Ukraine. Just before everything kicked off. i remember reading about hundreds of billions of dollars stolen, Jewish interference, Russian influence, separatists, American interference, civil war. It sounds like a hot mess (as war always is).
I have heard a theory that says the Jews really really want that area, I am not sure why. Ideological? Homeland outside of Israel? I have heard the genetic results website 23/and me was recently shut down and had to issue apologies when they told people with Ashkenazi Jewish genetics they come from the caucus region when they settled there a long time ago. I think training is by large the main issue with American cops these days. They seem to be trained, going from both what I hear and what I ran in to back when I was in the Police Explorers program, to shoot first by large to any potential threat.
It's understandable, but I really do wish we encouraged a bit more caution or patience.
But I digress. That'd probably up cop deaths, too. Still, it's something of a coin toss at that point. Do you want more cop deaths, or more civilian deaths?

If you watched the full version of the altercation you would see that the cop fired his taser first but one of the darts failed to embed, the criminal then ripped the other dart out and charged the cop, they both went to the ground and then the cop pushed him off, the criminal grabbed his magazine which could have also been his duty knife or baton and showed no sign of backing down. The cop was 100% in the right on shooting after exhausting all options.

He's an idiot to be sure, but even in the scenario you describe, it strikes me as a fairly minor at best threat.
Even if he had a baton.
I don't know the legality of doing this sort of thing, but on the note of batons, I think that'd've been the best way to deal with the situation. Instead of drawing a fire arm, just beat the fuck out of him with a club, basically.

One good blow to the head or slam on the concrete is enough for permanent damage or death in a fight. You don't know what the other guy is packing and your last less lethal solution failed leading to you being brought down and nearly overpowered. He actually broke the rules by trying to use the taser alone and should have gone straight to his gun because if he got fucked up there would have been no backup to stop the criminal from taking his gun and escaping. Less lethal weapons are only to be used in teams with a second person with a gun standing behind the officer with the baton/mace/taser because of the high possibility of it failing and leading to a criminal fucking up or killing a lone officer with a knife while they try to draw the gun.
You really should watch "surviving edged weapons" in its entirety unironically before trying to tell cops how to not die on the streets.

And this is exactly my issue with it, mate.
Your post is full of "ifs" and "you don't know" and "possibility".
I realize it might sound heartless, but I think a dead officer is a better alternative to a dead civilian. It's my stance that this mentality of taking no risks is why police in this nation are so trigger-happy, and why so many people end up dead unjustly.
It isn't, in my opinion, about "telling cops how to not die on the street". Hell, if that was our goal, they might as well just shoot anyone they suspect to be a criminal. After all, then any threat is dead, and you've got no problem, right?
Of course that isn't the point. That isn't what's being told here. The point is, a guy what was not an immediate lethal threat was shot, because he had run some physical aggression, and stole a magazine.
I do not think that is a desirable outcome.

From what I can tell it is just another proxy war within the cold war as a whole. For the most part it seems to be a conflict to see which weapon systems would actually work in a combat situation along with colonial powers trying to eke out the last bit of European dominance on the African theater before the inevitable rot set in. These factors could explain why there is an inherent lack of interest in the subject. To be honest I would like to know more on this myself as I believe there is more to this than what I have stated.

Nah, bro, I don't think anything like that. On the contrary, I really like cops. Think they ought to get payed a fair ways more than they do, personally. Actually working a little to become one myself, though that's kind of loose at the moment, as I've yet to decide if it's something I actually want to do.
In any case; I ain't saying you should tackle knife wielders. I'm not saying you shouldn't shoot them. But when we're talking a guy who's just tackled you, and stole your magazine, I don't think it's okay to shoot him.
This is all a bit of a strawman quite bluntly. You've taken an extreme interpretation of my position here. I just don't want people getting shot who shouldn't be shot. Shootings happen far too often, these days, and unfortunately there's a lot of them what aren't justified at all, let alone events like the one in OP's webm.
It's my stance that, much as a fireman's expected to risk his life charging in to a burning building, a cop ought be expected to try to defuse a situation through the minimal reasonable measure, even if it ends up risking his life doing so.

I don't think so. "Reasonable fear for their life" and all that, after all.
But, keep in mind, when we're talking citizens, firstly we've got the whole 'innocent until proven guilty' aspect, and all that.
Police, I believe, should be held to a higher standard.
This of course doesn't mean the guy should go to jail. But, being law enforcement, killing an innocent man is just as bad you ask me as jailing an innocent man.
Well, "innocent" in this context isn't the right word per say. But I think you get the ultimate idea.

>In the opening hours of what would be the first Battle of Grozny, the commanders of the 131st Maikop Motor-Rifle Brigade (which was two battalions strong) was hailed by a Chechen militant commander, who begged the Russians to rethink their push into the city with tanks, armored personnel carriers and infantry.
>The chilling conversation was recorded and has been featured in videos and documentaries in what was one of the bloodiest Russian conflicts in history.
>According to the New York Times, the mechanized Russian units -staffed mostly by conscripts – were overwhelmed by the rebel fighters, surrounded and begging for reinforcements over the radio. In a last ditch attempt to survive, they were instructed to take civilian hostages in order to try and negotiate with the Chechens.
>When soldiers told commanders that the Chechens didn’t care, the command suggested that the troops sneak over to friendly units under cover of darkness.
>Within sixty hours, the 1,000 man-strong Maikop Brigade -including Lieutenant Colonel Savin- would be wiped out of existence by the rebels, with only a handful of survivors left to tell the tale.
>At the same time, Russian Army General Pavel Grachev reported to the media that “the entire city center and several districts of the city and its outskirts are under complete control of Russian forces”.
>The Battle of Grozny would last from New Year’s Eve of 1994 to February 8 of 1995, with countless dead, wounded and captured on both sides, not including a staggering 35,000 civilians killed. While the Russians would later claim victory, it would be a pyrrhic one at best- with hours of video footage to document the event.
>Despite the fact that neither side particularly wanted to fight each other that day, the poignant conversation between two adversaries in a city full of civilians brings a sobering point home- in war, everyone is a casualty.

It wasn't a gotcha question. It was a simple yes or no. Cops shouldn't be held to a higher standard then civilians when it comes to lethal force, because it isn't a training issue. Its a knowledge/awareness issue. The cop and civilian are both facing the same circumstances and both have the same level of information about the situation to work with. Why do you set up an arbitrary standard for police, while you allow the civilian to essentially do what he pleases in the situation?

Because the civilian isn't acting in a position of authority, arresting individuals, and potentially killing them in the process of enforcing the laws.
Because a civilian who returns fire on a cop is going to be framed as a criminal regardless of if the officer was justified in his aggression towards said civilian or not.
Because ultimately, the job of the officer is to preserve order in society, to inherently act beyond a civilian's position, and do more than a civilian can or can be expected to do.
They're already at a higher standard to a civilian.

There's the original run of 14 tv mini-movies and then two more modern ones but release order is the same as chronological order so just watch them in that. Also It's Sharpe with an e anon. There's so much singing because one of the characters, Rifleman Hagman, is actually played by the man who help compose and record a lot of the music in the show. Russia does not have any air droppable tanks (unless you really want to count IFVs and tank destroyers as tanks) in its active inventory and no, even then they wouldn't be the only ones in history to have succeeded in doing air droppable tanks.
Also air dropping anything is an old meme. You're better off doing air assaults and then securing areas that you can then move regular armor into, not this shitty "lets drop a thin armored self propelled gun that we call a tank and expect it to positively supplement ground forces as well as a regular tank"

Notice some differences:
>low altitude, low speed drop, static line opening, everything goes out the back, airdrops parts, personnel drops in one zone and materiel/vehicles in another
>aircraft extremely vulnerable to MANPADs and AAA, troopers have to hoof it from personnel to materiel zone, then spend a few hours assembling their vehicles/equipment
vs
>high altitude, full speed drop, altimeter opening, infantry goes from the front of aircraft and vehicles dropped from rear, airdrops armed and fueled vehicles (sometimes with crew inside), everyone drops together in 1 zone
>aircraft less vulnerable to MANPADs and AAA, everything in one place and ready to go on the ground
>>526156
The VDV is Russian equivalent of Muhreens; Because Russia is so huge it makes no sense to have marines be the tip of the spear. They get similar funding priorities, selection pressure, training standards…. even have the same troop numbers, around 70k frontline american marines and around 70k frontline russian airborne.
>>526169
>air assaults
>securing areas
Their job is precisely that, and also logistics raiding, seizing civilian areas, sabotage, area denial…. If they fight armor, they fight lighter armor.
VDV either uses asymetric measures (mines/atgm) or runs away from heavier enemy armor, usually over rough terrain or water, that's why they're more mechanized and their vehicles have a mobility requirement higher than rest of Russian military.
Do you consider self propelled Sprut a light tank?

Other guy caught on and cancelled his counter, so he's not overextended.
Also those are real weight swords and that's how saber fighting is done in real life. Notice both of them are trying to get JUST close enough to cut the opponents hand? If you're actually dumb enough to try cutting his body, the other guy will just cut your hand and step away, so in the end you have a cut hand and don't even connect with his body.
Both your vids are a different type of sword which is used differently, almost like clubs. Sabers are thin, sharp, and odly shaped, they can't be manhandled like that. You might as well compare a spear and a dagger for all the fairness of the comparison.
Also your first video is actual foam swords and you're complaining about foam sword combat…

Claiming to have made that remix, while in reality an automated tool did the work for him, is like saying you painted a picture, while in reality all you did was snap a pic with your camera and print it. Shot off. It's not uncommon for marucheros to ride on trucks with improvised armor with ordinary steel plates and occasionally with Hardox plates. Armed forces and Tamaulipas State Troopers counter this with .50 BMG guns and 40 mm grenades (yes the cops use them sometimes too). You can guess what happened.
Also, many times the sicarios are high as fuck. Cocaine, weed or just good old Buchanan's (the booze of choice of narcos, mentioned in many, many songs).

Union of ukrops in Poland is smuggling weapons, biggest case was two teenage girls attempting to smuggle in AK-630 but it's mostly conventional firearms to create a massacre Poland ((((can't handle))) so Germany can step in with act 1066 and use live ammunition to miss horribly and instead of pacifiying ukrops, overthrow the government in Warsaw and murdering innocents or anyone who's actually right-wing.
I assume it's to bring back Judeo-Polonia which was old jewish idea to make a prussia-backed Jewish indepedent territory in central europe.
proofs would be how hard neocons shill for them, how retarded (((Polish))) government acts and how bold the ukrops get.

Poles over here do a far bit of the old rape and violent crime themselves, as you'd expect when the population is mostly unemployed/underemployed young men. There isn't much rapefugee crime in Poland because, frankly, they don't have rapefugees. This is mostly because nobody sane (rapefugee or otherwise) wants to move to Poland. This is largely, but not entirely, because there are few jobs as a result of the country being propped up by the EU budget. That is an intentional move to prevent Poland realising it doesn't need the EU at all. Basically the bribe the Poles with EU 'development funding' and the ability to export their unemployed youth to other European nations.

I'm calling fake on the second webm. His head is thrown back a 3 frames after smoke is seen exiting the barrel of the gun. Adding to that the fact that we don't see the helmet up close before the gunshot, there aren't any sparks or bits of shrapnel seen leaving the helmet which could be explained away by the poor quality of the video, and when you watch the video in slow motion it becomes pretty clear he's throwing his head back, his head isn't being thrown back. There's some distinct acceleration, where as his head is moving back it takes a couple of frames to ramp up to top speed. If it was accelerated externally by a sudden impact like a bullet impact his head would reach top speed almost instantly then decelerate.
As for the audio, the gunshot sound occurs 2 frames after his head is thrown back, and 5 frames after smoke leaves the gun barrel. So no, his head being thrown back doesn't match the sound of the gunshot. The audio is delayed even by that standard.

Proportional, my ass. Attempting global dominance for the immortal glory of a human pretending to be a god is not concern for proportional morality.
The Japanese people… the commoners… were warned to evacuate major cities, and they were even instructed as to which ones. That is absolutely ridiculous within the scope of war. Who the fuck decides to forgo any element of surprise? Guilt mongers.
The Government of Japan, only needed to surrender. All of the stats and proportional carnage of this recollection need to take into account that the ability to end the atrocities that Japan started was theirs at all times.
Even after Little Boy was dropped on Hiroshima, it was not the will of the Japanese people nor government to cede defeat. They chose to suffer the Fat Man, by a vast multitude of mechanisms.

“Read this carefully as it may save your life or the life of a relative or friend. In the next few days, some or all of the cities named on the reverse side will be destroyed by American bombs. These cities contain military installations and workshops or factories which produce military goods. We are determined to destroy all of the tools of the military clique which they are using to prolong this useless war. But, unfortunately, bombs have no eyes. So, in accordance with America’s humanitarian policies, the American Air Force, which does not wish to injure innocent people, now gives you warning to evacuate the cities named and save your lives. America is not fighting the Japanese people but is fighting the military clique which has enslaved the Japanese people. The peace which America will bring will free the people from the oppression of the military clique and mean the emergence of a new and better Japan. You can restore peace by demanding new and good leaders who will end the war. We cannot promise that only these cities will be among those attacked but some or all of them will be, so heed this warning and evacuate these cities immediately.
America asks that you take immediate heed of what we say on this leaflet. We are in possession of the most destructive explosive ever devised by man. A single one of our newly developed atomic bombs is actually the equivalent in explosive power to what 2000 of our giant B-29s can carry on a single mission. This awful fact is one for you to ponder and we solemnly assure you it is grimly accurate.
We have just begun to use this weapon against your homeland. If you still have any doubt, make inquiry as to what happened to Hiroshima when just one atomic bomb fell on that city.
Before using this bomb to destroy every resource of the military by which they are prolonging this useless war, we ask that you now petition the Emperor to end the war. Our president has outlined for you the thirteen consequences of an honorable surrender. We urge that you accept these consequences and begin the work of building a new, better and peace-loving Japan.
You should take steps now to cease military resistance. Otherwise, we shall resolutely employ this bomb and all our other superior weapons to promptly and forcefully end the war."

>Oh stop trying to justify killing civilians with sophistry.
Most Japanese homes were actively involved in the war effort. The entire country, even its family structures, were converted into a factory-like singularity of purpose.
"The Japanese home front was elaborately organized, block by block, with full-scale food rationing and many controls over labor. The government used propaganda heavily and planned in minute detail regarding the mobilization of manpower, identification of critical choke points, food supplies, logistics, air raid shelters, and the evacuation of children and civilians from targeted cities. Food supplies were very tight before the heavy bombing began in fall 1944, then grew to a crisis. There was only a small increase of 1.4 million women entering the labor force between 1940 and 1944. The minister of welfare announced, "In order to secure its labor force, the enemy is drafting women, but in Japan, out of consideration for the family system, we will not draft them."[109]
The weaknesses in the maximum utilization of womanpower was indicated by the presence of 600,000 domestic servants in wealthy families in 1944. The government wanted to raise the birthrate, even with 8.2 million men in the armed forces, of whom three million were killed. Government incentives helped to raise the marriage rate, but the number of births held steady at about 2.2 million per year, with a 10% decline in 1944–45, and another 15% decline in 1945–46. Strict rationing of milk led to smaller babies. There was little or no long-term impact on the overall demographic profile of Japan.[110]
The government began making evacuation plans in late 1943, and started removing entire schools from industrial cities to the countryside, where they were safe from bombing and had better access to food supplies. In all 1.3 million children were moved—with their teachers but not their parents.[111] When the American bombing began in earnest in late 1944, 10 million people fled the cities to the safety of the countryside, including two-thirds of the residents of the largest cities and 87% of the children. Left behind were the munitions workers and government officials. By April 1945, 87% of the younger children had been moved to the countryside.
Civil defense units were transformed into combat units, especially the Peoples Volunteer Combat Corps, enlisting civilian men up to the age of 60 and women to age 40. Starting in January 1945 the government operated an intensive training program to enable the entire civilian population to fight the "decisive battle" with the American invaders using grenades, explosive gliders and bamboo spears. Everyone understood they would probably die in what the government called, the "Grand Suicide of the One Hundred Million."[112] Health conditions became much worse after the surrender in September 1945, with so much housing stock destroyed, and an additional 6.6 million Japanese repatriated from Manchuria, China, Indochina, Formosa, Korea, Saipan and the Philippines."

I am decidedly anti-American, and anti-war, in general. America has only failed to be at war for four years since the murders that created the fraud that it is, were committed. Jimmy Carter was a just and honourable man in that regard.
>The Japanese are at fault for dying when they were bombed.
The Japanese were at fault for starting a needless war for the sake of pride, glory, and greed. The Japanese were at fault for being so foolish as to expect their victim to stop fighting back. The Japanese were at fault for deciding not to surrender. The Japanese were at fault for what surely was the absolutely ultimate act of stupidity in all of warfare, of all time: Pearl Harbor.
>Remember Pearl Harbor, forget the fire bombings and nukes, okay?
I don't "remember" any of this… but I have a grasp of history. Until the unprovoked attacks at Pearl Harbor, the Yanks were relatively passive with regard to WWII. They were certainly supportive of the allies, but weren't actively engaged.
"The military history of the United States in World War II covers the war against Germany, Italy, Japan and starting with the 7 December 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor. During the first two years of World War II, the United States had maintained formal neutrality as made officially in the Quarantine Speech delivered by U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1937, while supplying Britain, the Soviet Union, and China with war material through the Lend-Lease Act which was signed into law on 11 March 1941, as well as deploying the U.S. military to replace the British invasion forces in Iceland."
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Military_history_of_the_United_States_during_World_War_II
I am glad that the war ended as soon as was possible. I am relieved that the majority of the atrocities of WWII happened on the soil and to the peoples who wrought them. Those people should have chosen differently.

No, no. Don't misunderstand me. I think that the instructions as to which cities would be destroyed, and when, and how to avoid it, were unnecessary, and over-generous. The use of bigger bombs in lieu of literally millions of smaller bombs which had the exact same effect, is of little consideration. "Dumb" bombs, are just that. They are dropped over a general area, and hopefully find the most appropriate targets. These things weren't laser-guided… they were effectively shoveled out by the hundred of each bomber. They also created "dumb" fires… which don't give a fuck about uniforms or political distinctions. Watch the sob-story webm again, and see how discreet the little bombs were prior to the shock and awe of atomic capability. If the Yanks had foresight (and the capability) they would have been far more considerate to drop nukes first, and tilt that scale of public opinion and proportional carnage much more swiftly.
>I mean they said they're at war with the government and not the people so naturally the best target are civilian populations.

As a matter of fact, it does. You can whine and whinge about child soldiers all you like, but we're still killing them today… and we should.
>Terrifying. I'm sure those bamboo spears and kites were a genuine threat.
You may have heard of Vietnam? The war which was effectively won with "bamboo spears"? Weaponized flying fucking anything with kamikaze pilots are, of course, a genuine threat.
>Yes, nuking cities and burning them down is not comparable to interning Japanese-Americans. It's much worse.
If we could have interned all of Japan, which, in effect was what FDR was attempting to accomplish, then that would have been super. That they chose to be destroyed, is regrettable… by them, and for our people who had to suffer doing it.

Yes. Supplying their allies with materials, cutting off trade with their allies enemies, and attempting to effect a peaceful outcome. Do you happen to know the proportional carnage of Pearl Harbor? Do you know the percentage of the thousands killed in that instigation of war that were civilians? 100 fucking percent.
>Would've ended sooner if America were actually neutral and Churchill weren't a warmonger who stubbornly refused any and all offers of a peace treaty.
You can't be that retarded. Germany, Japan, and Italy would have stopped their campaign for global dominance, of their own volition, according to your statement.

It certainly was, and could it have been done sooner, ought to have been.

PREAMBLE
III
CONVENTION RELATIVE TO THE OPENING OF HOSTILITIES
…
His Majesty the Emperor of Japan;
…
Considering that it is important, in order to ensure the maintenance of pacific relations, that hostilities should not commence without previous warning;
That it is equally important that the existence of a state of war should be notified without delay to neutral Powers;
Being desirous of concluding a Convention to this effect, have appointed the following as their plenipotentiaries:
…
His Majesty the Emperor of Japan:
His Excellency Mr. Keiroku Tsudzuki, His Ambassador Extraordinary
and Plenipotentiary;
…
Who, after depositing their full powers, found in good and due form, have agreed upon the following provisions:
Article 1: The contracting Powers recognize that hostilities between themselves must not commence without previous and explicit warning, in the form either of a declaration of war, giving reasons, or of an ultimatum with conditional declaration of war.
Article 2: The existence of a state of war must be notified to the neutral Powers without delay, and shall not take effect in regard to them until after the receipt of a notification, which may, however, be given by telegraph. Neutral Powers, nevertheless, cannot rely on the absence of notification if it is clearly established that they were in fact aware of the existence of a state of war.
Article 3: Article 1 of the present Convention shall take effect in case of war between two or more of the contracting Powers. Article 2 is binding as between a belligerent Power which is a party to the Convention and neutral Powers which are also parties to the Convention.
In faith whereof the plenipotentiaries have appended their signatures to the present Convention.
Done at The Hague, the 18th October, 1907, in a single copy, which shall remain deposited in the archives of the Netherland Government, and duly certified copies of which shall be sent, through the diplomatic channel, to the Powers which have been invited to the Second Peace Conference.

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Italian military strategy. The maneuvers are extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of military incompetence most of their actions will go over a typical commander’s head. There’s also the forze armate Italiane’s nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into their laziness - their organizational philosophy draws heavily from a total lack of literature, for instance. The armchair generals understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of Italian incompetent, to realize that they’re not just useless - they say something deep about RACEMIXING. As a consequence people who dislike the forze armate Italiane truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn’t appreciate, for instance, the humour in Roberta Pinotti’s existential catchphrase “Germoney pls halp,” which itself is a cryptic reference to Machiavelli’s Italian epic The Prince. I’m smirking right now just imagining one of those nofuns faggots scratching their heads in confusion as Italy’s genius wit unfolds itself on the battlefield. What fools.. how I pity them.
