They didn't attack directly in most cases, opting to use bombs instead. If the left tried that approach again, there will be similar actions taken from the right. This is different because the left is essentially trying to form red brigades.

The rear sight looks like one of those early smokeless powder adjustable ones that goes from "can barely see target" to the horizon (very obvious later in the video). Likely some kind of early bolt action gun but definitely not a shotgun.

Black Panthers and various other groups already were the red brigades, and they have already gained a lot of ground. They won't form a single "red brigade" united under one banner when they can make many different brigades out of the students they indoctrinate, all of which are not affiliated with the others. As someone whos family member first hand experience the cultural revolution, I think that is, quiet frankly, the closest term to describe the US right now. China had the public shaming of dissidents, which quite frankly, is what the spot of the "right" or white nationalists are in right now. The removal of statues is pretty close to the destruction/removal/vandalism of heritage as well, I'm going to say that in 20, maybe 30 years, if the liberals don't all win, people are going to complain about the US gov not doing enough to stop these idiots.
