So how would we prevent Civil War II in a way that neither side of the spectrum feels as though they're being unduly suppressed and everything around them is crumbling?
46a4d4 No.73823
>>73822
>So how would we prevent Civil War II
That's a tough one. There's a metaphorical point in which it's impossible to prevent war. In Spain, the Anarchists and the Communists tried start an insurrection with the workers. Clearly it failed. But, the ire and the economic down-turn made Spanish Civilians upset with their current situation. When the generals saw that Spain was going to be destabilize and the military being humiliated. The generals tried a coup. Which was successful.
In Russia, the Bolsheviks took advantage of the economic down-turn in Imperial Russia and seized power. The tsarists sympathizers rose up and fought against the Bolsheviks. But due to poor resources, they lost.
In China, after a century of being oppressed by imperial powers, some generals saw that China was going to collapse. After 16 failed uprisings. One uprising succeeded and the Nationalist proceeded to take over China. However, Communists saw this as an opportunity to seize the means of productions and fought against the Nationalists. They failed, but the war was put on hold because Japan was invading Manchuria and the Nationalist were trying to hold them off. Mao gathered support and the war resumed. The Communists still failed but they resorted to guerrilla warfare. This bought them time also, the US put the war on pause and tried to make them sign peace treaties. which didn't work and the Communist pushed them out of mainland China.
So, if I had to pin-point one exact cause. It's people who are so poor that they want a change of life or it's agitators that push for civil war. So, don't have a bad economy and kick out agitators.

Ontario's countryside got royally screwed over by the higher ups. So, their industry got slowed down and most of the miners and loggers turned to meth. If anything, the workers in Ontario are being oppressed by the bourgeois!
So, if Quebec succeeded there would be a definite bouncing of the back of the economy in countryside Ontario.

Catalonia (the Quebec of Spain) decided to vote on a referendum that would see its independence. Spain has a rule where no place can secede. Catalonia voted and Spanish police went in and seized the ballot boxes and the outcome was that an over whelming majority of Catalonians voted yes on succession.
But, there's a few problems.
1)Spain isn;t going to let Catalonia go
2)Only 2 million out of 7 million Catalonians voted; thus, the referendum may be deemed as illegitimate
3)The EU backed Catalan independence and this could lead to a potential schism for the general populace
