Right, Man In The High Castle was a book but Amazon made it into the series.
I thought the series was okay. It didn't really give a accurate representation of the Japanese occupation of the west coast. But that's a rather small complaint.

I think I killed Ran-sama
c5a74c No.4315

I watched American Werewolf in London, as you suggested. It was pretty all right, but that transformation scene will stay with me for a while, I can't imagine another movie dedicating so much time to that. It looked and sounded very painful.
I've been watching a lot of X-Files recently. I never enjoyed it when it was airing, but I think it's one of my favourite shows now, probably. If you're at all curious, I highly recommend the episodes "Ice" and "Home"
Ice was basically just a retelling of The Thing, which I imagine you've watched and enjoyed.
Ran did make a point of talking about posting something here or there and then leaving for a while. I myself am very bad for remembering that there's something I'm supposed to be responding to until later enough that I have to wonder whether it's still appropriate to respond at all.
c5a74c No.4317

Ran generally has things to do. Sometimes it's rather disconcerting. But I just might be fretting too much.
X-files was pretty cool. I watched a few episodes as a kid and being terrified by the legless man. I've been meaning to pick it up but the early episodes are such a slog to sit through sometimes. I don't remember the transformation scene that much. I do remember the Nazi Aliens with laser rifles invading his home.

You seem busy as well. I think I'm the only person here who doesn't accomplish anything outside of work.
X-files is an incredibly hit-or-miss series. It's kind of experimental a lot of the time, so it falls flat here and there, and the latter half of the series has been pretty underwhelming so far.

I do remember that.
It's like that scene from Saw…The screaming too really makes that scene.

I've seen you mention that Series quite a few times now, are you a fan of the Saw movies?
I watched the whole series with my roommate at the time; that likely made it a bit more tolerable. 90% of the time, it's like a routine police drama, and then now and again something completely surreal occurs, and those moments kind of make the show.
c5a74c No.4322

I like seeing people face their conquences through a series of trials and all they have to do is follow the instructions
Sort of. Saw was a pretty good series despite the groteque scenes. Have you watched Stranger Things?
It's on Netflix and it's kind of like the Goonies meets The Mist.

I actually don't do nearly as well with gore in movies as I did when I was a kid and through high school. At any rate, I think the claim that seeing it a lot at a young age desensitizes you is very false.
No, I haven't, but my /pol/-tier friend that I mentioned before has recommended that to me a couple times as well! He says it has a very 80's appeal. Never saw The Mist, though. Never been much into Stephen King.

I've went to /b/ for so long that gore doesn't faze me at much. Plus..I worked in a bucther shop for a short time so I quickly got over that sick feeling. Still hard to look at dead stuff though. The Mist was alright. Stephen King only made a few good movies though..
