There doesn't seem to be a vidya thread yet…

what games do you like?

what do you want to try?

what do you play to relax?

how do you fit gaming into your schedule?

f7ae99 No.3257

i like DRPGs something about exploring dungeons is titillating and a huge time sink for me.

i want to try SRPGs but i cant figure out fot the life of me how they work.

I read visual novels to relax. i like reading and some have a pretty good story. i cant really, i just make time to game.

a dungeon crawl is a good time

I really like SRPGs myself I'd say getting a rom of Final Fantasy Tactics advance for gba is a good place to start it's not as good as others but it's much more approachable. after that I'd recommend the Disgaea, and Summon Knight series' of games

I like VNs too there's a lot of comfy ones~

I have a physical copy that that my mother bought and I just recently found it. I got caught up in the first Phantasy Star which is alright imo. Kind of wish it was more mission orientated instead of cryptic clues. How about you anon-kun, what is your favorite genres?

Phantasy Star online 2 is really good as far as MMOs go but you need to play on the japanese servers http://arks-layer.com/

I really like RPGs SRPGs are a big favorite of mine honestly but anything with a lot of replay value is kinda my jam I want a world, characters, and gameplay I can really enjoy

it's also nice if it's something that can be played in short bursts like when I'm on a train or waiting for something somewhere

I have Phantasy Star online 2 for xbox floating around somewhere…Have you played and Aquaplus or Leaf games? They're generally about 80+ hours and all the games are great. I just finished Dungeon Travelers 2 and I enjoyed more than Operation Abyss. What RPGs are you playing tight now?

that's probably pso1 which was also really good but pso2 is only on PC or PSvita

I haven't actually I'll look them up

and right now I'm playing Underrail on my computer when I have time which is sorta an indie game take on the old fallout games

and I carry around a gameboy sp with Summon Night Swordcraft story on it it's an old favorite from when I was a kid and the gameplay and characters are really comfy

I also have a bunch of emulators but I only really use the GBA and PSP ones on my tablet much recently to play the megaman battle network series and Summon Night 5 respectively

Underrail looks pretty awesome.

I have a emulator on my computer but I was manage to come by the games before I get to play them and now that I know there's a PSO2 eng patch I might pick it up. I heard there's still servers up for PSO1 somewhere on /v/. Also, there's like a million SPRGs on the GBA if you're interested. Riveria, Tactics Ogre and Yggdra Union are all great games.

f7ae99 No.3270

>>3268

I linked to arkslayer above where you can get the english patch. Also the south east asia version has a english mode but the translation is worse that the fan made patch and you will get banned from the SEA servers if you don't live in the region while the jap moderation is chill and accepting of internationals

and there are still fan set up servers for PSO1 somewhere I've heard that too

tactics ogre and Yggdra union I have and love but thanks for telling me about Riveria

Any of you fellas use The Backloggery? It's a pretty comfy site that lets you track what games you own and beat.

Anyway, lately I've been juggling between Yakuza 3 and The Witcher. Both games are very good but also time consuming and keep me away from some other games that I want to beat already.

Getting close to beating Photo Kano on my Vita.

Interesting, by chance do you visit Vitagen?

I don't use backloggery, but it sounds like a good way to manage time when beating games.

Yeah I lurk there. Not much to contribute because I mostly use my Vita for PSP games right now.

I own Photo Kano, Freedom Wars which I didn't like all that much, Muramasa and Senran Kagura.

I wish I had enough money for a psvita

Now's the time to get one, man. I don't care much for piracy but it is possible now.

Plus it's pretty cheap now and lots of people are selling their second handed because they bought one thinking there's western games on it.
