I went to school when the ethic transition was happening.
So, it went from an all black school to an all Hispanic school.
So, being white was just a bit tough.

The best school we had here was in the black part of town, so that's where I went. Not a great experience, but I never really enjoyed school from the beginning.
Race was never a big issue, surprisingly, although the school was black-biased and didn't have any shame in showing that.
I learned how to deal with lots of people there, so it was good in the end.
