English is a gag, those are the same word and mean the same thing.
That's true. There's two ways to combat that, either have the post number low, in the two to three hundreds, or have the thread only display the last 50 posts of a rather large thread at a time, with the option to display the entire thread if you want.

I move to /b/ and make friends with the anime community there. The fappening happened and I make a board on 8chan for the refugees from there. In short, I stopped giving a shit and tried to invite a bunch of newfags because I thought the community was becoming stagnant. Girl shows up. Tell everyone she's toxic as fuck. No one listens, she gloats and flirts per usual. I try to shadow ban her and it's too late by then. A crazy transsexual says come over to his board and everyone jumps ship to his board.
>Fast forward
I'm no longer the board owner and I left. Their board mod staff change hands at least six or seven times. I visit Alice2 and try being normal and go back to Facebook. Facebook is fucking boring and full of some odd people. One guy I met latched onto me and he's having issues with going to medical school. Says he's in dire straights and has a 2.1 GPA and if he doesn't do something he'll kill himself. He then proceeds to spam the ever living shit out of my facebook messager and I make /imouto/ as an advice board. He makes one posts and then proceeds to spam the ever living shit out of my facebook messager. Tell him that I'm not replying to him unless he posts on /imouto/. He doesn't listen to me. So, I permanently log off Facebook. Things go alright with /imouto/ and I get into a relationship with Kitty. I have a couple anons ask for advice and I realized it would take an arm and a leg to have an advice board. So, I switch it over to a discussion board.

Either way, all of them had the political and economic understanding of jaded edgy high schoolers that still thought it was cool to hate on corporations, and couldn't identify the difference between them and private companies. Dose it?
No it isn't! Some the best science fiction commands the viewer to suspend the most disbelief! And HAL is a case where a being is taught and told that it's absolutely perfect, and then ends up making a mistake proving that it isn't perfect, so it has to make some serious mental gymnastics to "convince" even itself that it's still infallible. Even if that means killing off the witnesses. It's intentionally meant to be scary, and unrealistic.
It's literally a problem who's solution is literally just to not tell the computer it's perfect and incapable of error.
What a cheeky friendo. Are you satisfied thus far?

See: Asimov's Robot and the corssovers into Foundation
HAL basically decided that it could complete its mission easier without the humans, so it got rid of them. It makes the case for why the three laws of robotics are absolutely necessary.
But even then, it only takes one robot that can make copies of itself not tied to those rules to start a bad cycle
I am very satisfied
Spent the night at a show then a few hours at his place comparing them to his and then listening to vinyl. I am seriously thinking about getting an upgrade for my audio recorder already, but I have spent too much money recently

Not about not having money, I can make a few more purchases like this in the month and still be fine, but trying to be responsible.
I was probably talking about that audio recorder, actually.

I mean the Asamov books
I finished the important Foundation books already.
ohh, waaaay back then
an upgrade from where I am now in photography would be breaking $1000
The audio recorder I'm looking at is $200 and -decent- mics to go with it are generally less than that a piece

I am being nice, but I don't actually like what he is doing that much. I guess it is a good start, but I would think you would research that board you payed money for enough to know that you should have a line out to do the recording.

It's Bard… he's poor, not too bright, and a little impulsive. He bought a new toy and he's having fun, that's all.
