It's being "sold" in a charity drive, where the money doesn't go to Ch4r|0tt3, it goes to a charity benefiting abuse survivors. They've done charity drives in the past and we have no reason to believe they are running some sort of "scam" when I am pretty sure I remember 3mb3r posting about a donation a few years back.

Think about it. You save all the files from the year that were too bad to post, and the sell them as a "charity" at the end of the year. Use the right terms and you don't really have to donate anything or maybe just a usual alibi cent, and yet nobody will want the money back for shitty files, cause it's "charity".
