I keep getting this error when importing any sort of file:

FFMPEG not found.

Doesn't matter whether it's a png or mp4, it will either fail outright or fail while importing while outputting the error.

I'm currently installed on Linux Mint (latest xenial contrib) and pulling my hair out. Any help?

almost afraid to say this, but are you running from source or not? if from source, make sure to download the correct ffmpeg build for you, or build it from source.

Try opening up a terminal and going:

sudo apt-get install ffmpeg

This should download and install ffmpeg to your system path, letting hydrus see it.

You might have to restart the client. You can check to see which ffmpeg it thinks it has by going help->about.

Let me know if that doesn't work!
