Alright, I enjoyed this game in the past. Tried it again last year and couldn't get the mods to work right.
Have they started to package the game to be easier to use? I can't be bothered to try again for 10 hours to make the game look nice with its shit game engine that actively shat on any 4k textures to work (including the realistic dick/hook/etc).

I played TK17 years ago, I know the vanilla game isn't nearly close to these pictures. You need all these mods and pose packs.

As to make good looking characters, you learn it. Of course, you can download mods that make the process easier: a head mod that fixes some polygons of the default head (or adds more), a bodymod to have a better shape (be wary that these might make clothing clip unless the clothing is big enough or there are patches for it), good textures, etc. You can also search for models that other people have made to use as base and start from there instead of starting from default models.
There is also a mod that adds more sliders to the face that can help you out if you feel like it isn't enough with the default.
However, doing something that is pretty (for you) and from scratch will require you to develop your slider-fu skills. Just play around with them and you'll get something eventually.
As for doing big dicks, you can enable the "Futa Mod" from the Options Manager in the game files, inside the Binaries folder. Despite the name, the only thing it does is to let you make bigger dicks and balls, nothing else.
As for needing mods to make everything work: yes. The base game is pretty barebones for this day and age. TK17 is 10% base game and 90% mods, so either download all them mods or download a repack and start from there.
As for making an Orc: Mods. However you'll have some problems if you want to make orcs like in your chinese cartoons because there aren't that many mods focused on that kind of stuff.
Every mod you'll need will be in ModsGarden. There's a good guide for the basics in 4ch's OP of the TK17 general in /t/, as well as some links to Repacks that are basically a pre-modded game that you can use right off the bat with good shit in it.
Also I can't believe there's actually people in this place, and even more, people interested in TK17. What a wonder.
