played the game, and there is some cuckshit going on, but they are light and mostly rape though, and none directly involving mc harem.

1st raped girl already engaged to a nobody, so even though MC has slight lust after her, he wouldnt push it further since she was already someone's fiancee, and there isnt really any hint of romance between them.

2nd is a girl from different race/species in love with a knight that will become Mc's friend. the girl was gangraped later but the knight saves her killing all the rapist and showing the power of love.

I'd say that Rance has a similar kind of writing in general because Alicesoft and that the Rance series shares a couple of strengths with Evenicle (Good ensemble character cast and great world building), but they are fundamentally different enough that I understand not liking Rance just because you love Evenicle. I'd say jump into Rance VI and give yourself a few hours to get used to Rance. I think Rance is a great protagonist, but he's such a strong protagonist that he's inevitably divisive. I personally think that Rance VI in particular has a better plot than Evenicle though Evenicle has stronger character arcs. The gameplay of Rance VI is a first person dungeon crawler as a fair warning though. I'm used to them, but they aren't for everyone.
