Zoe vacated everything so she could avoid ruling. She "won" at that.

The court did say Eron was right in the trial judge's error, there's just nothing to rule on anymore so it's all academic, something they like to avoid. Higher courts don't, so it may be wise to them, though they do have discretion over what they take.
