This is the second major hardware failure they've suffered in as many months. Last month hard drives in the server failed due to old age. Now it's a power supply that will take 2-3 days to replace. Clearly the money is barely there to keep the site going and the physical hardware they rely on is junk.
The site was massively overlooked by the community when Inkbunny and Weasyl opened up. It's reputation is "stories only" which hasn't been the case for years but they can't shake it. They lost angry site users when they banned cub- a decision forced by the laws in various countries on cp tightening up, not a moral one, Toumal is heavily pedo and coddles other pedos on his site- not to mention artists getting mad when they laid down copyright law regarding who owns commissioned work(waah I should own what I was paid to work on, muh entitlement!).
They routinely gut and neuter site features because one person complains about things. Their 5-star voting is a joke because only 5 stars report by name, 4 and below are anonymous, they need to go to a like-dislike system and all votes should report, fuck the feelings of downvoters.
The staff have always been way too lenient on banning people and after the cub porn purge they've become even less willing to ban people because they don't want to lose more site users then a bare minimum, it seems. Stuff that would get a permaban on any other art site might get 1 day to 1 week at most.
Uploading is an absolute hassle, editing/replacing a submission is even more work than it needs to be, it can take several HOURS for their system to update a replacement image and thumbnails have to be manually changed, they don't auto-update. Deleting a single submission is further work, you have to edit a submission to find the delete option. Their "upcoming event" list is often abused with things that aren't cons or live streams, such as some fucker who thinks their shitty comic book reviews(of mainstream shit, not even furry) warrant extra attention.
The site is run by incompetent people, lacking in features, and is probably losing the owner money from disinterest and now hardware failures. They need to call it quits. Or not, let Toumal end up on the streets if he's too retarded to abandon a sinking ship.
