The entire Bedfellows series has been cancelled for good. Kris is moving on from Bedfellows entirely.

Part of this is due to jewtube demonetization and how expensive animation is, although is mostly sounds like Kris is burned out and doesn't have the time to work on this.

Kris was planning on passing the torch to Lexie for Bedfellows Bits, but it looks like that didn't work out.

Kris has tried selling Bedfellows out to everyone, but nobody wanted it for better or worse. These type of deals can be extremely political. However, making a deal like this could have burned the series to oblivion (see Simpsons, Family Guy, etc).

Kris also talks about the origins of Befellows, and the purpose behind it. He also talks about the other series he's working on: Cat Ghost.

TLDR;

Kris wants to move on to greener pastures, and BF is expensive to make.

I have zero sympathy for “hard working creators” who can’t cash in on fucking annoying web ads anymore. YouTube doesn’t cost so much to run that we need to pay our isp to bring us ads. Now that yt can bribe the network providers into throttling their competition, we users no longer have an obligation to swallow their advertising or the costs associated with delivering it.

It’s called YOUtube to suggest that we’re all creators with an equal claim to the spotlight. Making it into a cable network with public access channels no one will ever know about is a step back about three decades.

I mean it sucks for some people but they shouldn’t have been there to begin with. They don’t let drug dealers hang around in playgrounds for the same reason.

What happened? Sorry for being out of the loop. I read a few of the comics but tbh I found the humor to be mostly corny gags from the bugs bunny era mixed with gay sex jokes that I didn’t understand. I never got into it. But I’ll try to google the backstory...
