The chances a lawyer would even touch a case like this are remote, let alone a judge tossing out out if they did because as OP says, one look at the cub porn they produce is going to crush their argument. Even so unless the defendant was dumb enough to slap their real name and location online readily, then good luck suing the person unless Dragoneer or another webmaster violated the law and gave out a user's IP address, and even then they'd have to petition the court to order the ISP to leak customer info, which is going to be fucking hard with such a claim. Judges are getting sick of that shit too because crybaby record labels and movie studios have flooded civil courts with such shit every time a kid downloads one file.

Filing a lawsuit requires a filing fee, unless oyu have a lawyer do it and then you're paying out the ass. They're several states away? Travel expenses. A win recoups your claimed amount plus any legal fees but even if you do somehow win, you do not automatically get a check.

James Randi has been sued multiple times by the charlatans he exposed, primarily fraudster Uri Gellar, and they would win, he's never once paid them a dime despite their win in court.

Even with that win you need separate proceedings to force collections. Garnishment requires a filing to get and even then is hard because it only takes a small percentage of their paycheck, they must make at least so much money to be garnished in the first place and if their income is SSI you can forget it, that's not garnishable. Going after bank accounts and such is difficult, the courts will not simply let you take their money or assets, you can't just walk into their home and grab shit, you'll be arrested for that. Just because someone owes you doesn't entitle you to theft of property.

And if the person is basically broke and barely gets by? You can forget seeing a penny.
