I know for a damn fact that I am going to regret this, but nothing ventured, nothing gained.

I am creating a D&D setting in which the god of magic has recently died, as such many species have popped up out of nowhere.

I want you, the guys and single gal of fur to suggest species to put in, and if possible, make a species to put in.

>and single gal

sorry but the correct number is 0

I don't really want to say good.

But that is a good thing.

>a warlike race of anthro chimps and gorillas that are actually ghosts of a highly advanced magitech race.

>a peaceful race of hybrid slug/mammoth people that can only communicate with others via eye contact.

>an agricultural race of mono-gendered dragons that has a symbiotic relationship with killer fruits and vegetables.

>a scholastic race of elven werebeasts.

>a virtuous race of sapient toys created by a mentally ill demigod.

>a merchant race of blind, hairless, humans that have thin plates of salt grow from their heads.

this shit isn't that hard op, you can do it yourself.

Yeah I know for a fact I can, but I want to see what you can come up with.

>a carefree race of roly-poly cat people that can shoot beams of molten metal from there mouths.

>a gloomy race of flower people that use recreational drugs and speak in rhyme.

>an industrious race of crab people that worship a giant brain in a jar that gives them the psychic hugs.

>a mysterious race of undead children that can only move through shadows and darkness, they like collecting songs from other cultures.

>a sociable race of goo people that has twenty different sexes, has taste as their main sense, and when threatened they combine into large floating jellyfish.

Populate your world with otterdragons and coonfoxes.

You won't regret it.

Aven race that has capitalized on their copious amounts of sulfer from unfertilized eggs, and their agile frames to control battlefields with muskets and other very early tech firearms, maybe even gonnes.

Bug creatures like you posted are awesome. I absolutely love multi-armed insectoids.

I also want to recommend sergals. Though, that might depend on the powerlevel of your group. Still, they've got a lot of worldbuilding around them, and they're pretty interesting.

 No.58636

You say magic is dead, what about psychic powers?

>Mollusc race

>Approx 5 ish feet tall when 'standing', multiple tendrils for movement. Generally a dark blue color or dark gray or dark violet

>Multiple eyes that act as a pair of eyes, no discernable face, colorful stripes

>Through one way or another they can mimic appearances of anything they've seen. Impossible to tell the difference between real and not save for actually touching one when disguised.

>They understand they are frightening to most, they see themselves as harbingers of knowledge and secrets.

>Generally psionic, with some unknown link to the outer planes.

Insectoid race

>Highly spiritual race of cockroach peoples.

>Organized communities with highly organic looking structures.

>Vary in height from 4"-7". Build type is just as varied. only the males have leathery wings that cover the body like a surcoat. Women have dat abdomen. Colors range from blacks to reds to oranges.

>Spiritual nature is focused on the eyes located on top of the head. Philosophy is that the divine light of the creator flows to their mind through these eyes. They worship the sun and moon as a religious dualism. Contrary to humans the sun is a feminine being and the moon is masculine (sun being a warm life giving mother, moon being a watchful/guiding father). Mildly animistic in understanding that the sun birthday the soul into all beings, but their eyes allow them more "soul strength to guide the lesser races to her warm embrace."

>Culture is a mix of all the 'desert religions' with the best aspects of all (theistic Christianity and Islam mix essentially with less "convert by the sword" as all the roach peoples are a part of this religion). Government is a democratic monarchy. Clothing style is akin to morrowind-style dunmer. No matter what, the "sun eyes" as they are called are visible as well as the antennae.

>No magic capability, but fiercely strong and able to defend themselves and their peoples. Reproduce at a moderate rate, natural armor and extra limbs makes them terrifying to fight. Their speed is wondrous for guerilla tactics. Prefer alchemy for ingenious creations of war and medicine.

>multi-armed insectoids.

>friend showed me some dumb throwing weapon based class

>had it worked out where I'd be ricocheting four swords with returning enchantments off people's faces after a few levels

>moved before I could get that far

Ah well, it was mostly just a joke idea even if I thought it sounded amazing.

bear X goat beasts that cannot easily be stopped if they get into a rage, but will go full narcoleptic if you surprise them.

wolf X giraffe beasts that hunt in packs in tall grasses, lifting their long necks up above cover to spot their prey or drag them out of trees branches or second story windows.

fox X wolf people that are born with an instinctual urge to act out one random fetish, sometimes resulting in self destructive or sociopathic. They breed just fast enough to survive despite the constant mental defects.

spider X octopus that can climb up walls, along ceilings. They can camouflage themselves with their surroundings and make a habit of using their silk to leave barely-visible noose snares in obvious exits when preparing to attack their prey. They spit strong-smelling ink onto their prey so that they can follow the scent for miles.

piranha x mole beasts that can burrow under the ground, creating hollow spots on the ground for animals to sprain or break their ankles tripping on. They will leave their tunnel systems only to drag wounded prey underground where they then feast by taking small bites from the victim.
