 No.42993[Watch Thread][Show All Posts]

I'm sure most of you are familliar with the Warrior cats series, either through fan works or official content, so let's have a thread about it.

Feel free to be political about it. It's fairly political anyway, territory wars and disputes among leaders & all that. Though, if you are going to be political about it, don't derail.

 No.43031>>43054

Fuck you, nobody cares about your autistic cats

Do like eeriefag and make your own board where you can talk to yourself all day

 No.43046>>43060 >>43117 >>43121

The cats are drawn realistically on the book covers but cartoony in most fanart on deviantart and YouTube. Is the latter how most readers imagine them while reading the books?

 No.43053

The original series protagonist is really bland but the other series protagonists are way better written.

To be fair, no one talks to one another on waifu boards anyway. A waifu board with one user blogging to himself is hardly different than a waifu board with 300 users that don't ever reply to each other.

I assume it's just the simpler style tends to be appealing to young artists. I notice their artstyles get more realistic as time goes by.

 No.43117

>>43046

I think there was a manga (lol) at one point. It's probably where the style came from.

 No.43121

Its just the normal anime trend, plus the whole fandom taking from a few selected popular fan-artists at the time, ie. spottedfire, bani, etc

Bump

 No.55955>>58379

There is ONE reason I never picked up one of the books, and NEVER will.

They are not cats. Not even close. They are fucking wolves, but cat-shaped. This complaint of mine is short, but I hope it is easy to understand.

 No.55972

my 15 year old sisters love this series so that's what i know about it my main man

 No.55998

As far as books relating to animal people, I prefer the Guardians of Ga'hoole series.

 No.56023

Ehh, I liked Redwall more

 No.58379>>58380

>>55955

Cats are social creatures, contrary to popular belief. Feral cats form colonies, just like wolves form packs.

 No.58380>>58389

>>58379

They sometimes enjoy each other's company. But they hunt alone. They do NOT act like wolves. Or tribes of humans. Which is how cats in the Warrior books do act.

 No.58389

>>58380

It's been a very long time since I've read the books, and I seem to remember cats accompanying each other when traveling to hunting areas, but I'm pretty sure each cat hunted its own prey outside of situations like training. A vole only feeds one cat, after all.

Reminder that scourge did nothing wrong
