I'm sure most of you are familliar with the Warrior cats series, either through fan works or official content, so let's have a thread about it.

Feel free to be political about it. It's fairly political anyway, territory wars and disputes among leaders & all that. Though, if you are going to be political about it, don't derail.

The cats are drawn realistically on the book covers but cartoony in most fanart on deviantart and YouTube. Is the latter how most readers imagine them while reading the books?

I assume it's just the simpler style tends to be appealing to young artists. I notice their artstyles get more realistic as time goes by.

Its just the normal anime trend, plus the whole fandom taking from a few selected popular fan-artists at the time, ie. spottedfire, bani, etc

There is ONE reason I never picked up one of the books, and NEVER will.

They are not cats. Not even close. They are fucking wolves, but cat-shaped. This complaint of mine is short, but I hope it is easy to understand.

They sometimes enjoy each other's company. But they hunt alone. They do NOT act like wolves. Or tribes of humans. Which is how cats in the Warrior books do act.

It's been a very long time since I've read the books, and I seem to remember cats accompanying each other when traveling to hunting areas, but I'm pretty sure each cat hunted its own prey outside of situations like training. A vole only feeds one cat, after all.
